You know on sunday mornings and late at night, when you're flipping through channels and you come across some guy in a suit talking about "the love of God", and other bullcrap. then he tries to trick you into sending in money. Well, I think the song is relating televangelism (?) money-grabbing to our gouvernment. They don't only steal our money, but also our lives. According to Christian religion, God says that you have to do certain things, just like the government says that you have to do certain things. While this country supposedly has a separation of church and state, this song clearly states otherwise.
