anyway to disable clicking a topic and automatically going to the last page?(sometimes second or third to last)
and if you were here, would things be any different, or are you just a mosaic of thoughts alone?

You're automatically redirected to the last unread post in a thread. Sometimes it's the last page.. but, of course, sometimes it could also mean it's the second or third to last.
Without messing with the out-of-the-box functionality of the forum it's just the way it works. Sorry.

what's up with the new song additions to the discography section?  Are soul doubt and straight edge covers or something?

A lot of releases in the discography contain songs that are not (real) BR songs. For example NOFX songs on a split bootleg, medleys and covers. To prevent these songs from showing up in the list of all BR songs, we're able to give these songs a label..... basically saying "this is not a BR original song".
In a number of cases we forgot to identify those songs.

It's fixed now, though; We're back at 230 real(!) BR songs.

Civalien, why don't you try the good old two forum windows/tabs at the same time trick? It works wonders for me.

As a matter of fact, I can't surf the Internet without at least five or six different tabs. I feel like I surf faster.

Please, everyone, next time you want to talk technical issues, let's do it here. The Ask Jay thread already has too many side comments as it is. Unless you want to Ask Jay why your posts got mixed up. Maybe he knows about message boards too.

I'm sure Marty will have a better technical explanation. But it's not like it's been the first time to ever happen on a forum. I mean, messages sometimes coming out in the wrong order.
