A collection of sound to evoke that particular feeling of being alone but safe quiet but light special in a way that's undetected by those around but understood intimately and easily by you and by me

I went to see a show recently, I think it was the Blasters or Dave Alvin. Whatever, that's irrelevant. But the opening band was the Gas House Gorillas, who I'd never heard before. Good, vintage-style rockabilly, and they do a great live show. Consider me impressed. I'm now a fan.

1983

Hetson plays the drums at a Circle Jerks gig at A7.

Graffin goes to hospital to have the tonsils removed before the recording
of Into The Unknown.

BR records their second album in 1 week to 10 days.

Tom Wilson quits after the first or second day of producing so they get Jim Mankey again.

Pete Finestone is replaced by Davy Goldman for the recording sessions and Jay
Bentley quits during recording to be replaced by Paul Dedona.

Lineup: GG, BG, PD, DG

Into The Unknown is released and right after that they apparently play
more than one show at The Roller Works, The T Bird Rollerdome and a coupla
shows at the Whiskey.

Jay's last show is in Santa Barbara (he also plays withTSOL at this show).
6 months after the release they play at least one San Francisco show, at the
Mabuhay Gardens, with Dedona on bass and Pete on drums and Brett and Graffin,
who played his Juno synth.

They played 3 or 4 songs off the album.
Brett said after the ITU release they played Dancing Waters in San Pedro
("where the bootleg was recorded with Louie Louie" - I'm pretty sure that's
wrong). Played San Francisco after San Pedro but possibly not immediately after.

January 15 Pico Rivera, California T-Bird-Rollerdome With the Vandals,
Battalion of Saints, Code of Honor, Saccharine Trust, Descendents and Red Scare (T)

February 12 Goleta Valley, California Goleta Valley Community Center With
Social Unrest, Battalion of Saints and The Exploited

March 31 Long Beach, California Skylight Club With Circle One, MDC and
Secret Hate. Davy Goldman on drums. Played Rock and Roll,Johnny B Goode and
Louie Louie (LP, 7")

April 27 Hollywood, California Cathay De Grande With Tourist,
Scoundrels, Mox Nix, etc.

BR breaks up. Members disperse. Greg moves to Wisconsin (Summer) and goes
to university. Pete plays with The Tourists.

Brett is still working at Sound Good. He joins the University of Sound Arts to learn how to engineer records
and forms The Elements Of Color.

Writes and records the The Seeing Eye Gods EP and meets Bobby for the first time.
Eventually Brett starts the West Beach Studio

August 13 Los Angeles, California Vex (have copies of 2 flyers) With Agression, Whipping Boy, Faction & Hated Principles

September 10 ??????????? (661 Hamilton)

IN THEORY BR DOESN'T EXIST AT THIS POINT BUT I HAVE THE FLYER ADVERTISING
THIS SHOW (???) Costa Mesa Teen Center With the Meatmen and Saccharine Trust

September 23 Minor Threat breaks up (or was itin December?)

Suffer (the record that changed everything). FAT MIKE
