Topic: OK, Mr. jabberwock, time to give us some scoop! Posted: 03/01/2009 at 16:25 |
Please Jay, could you fill us in, desperate BR fans, on the band's recent and near-future activity as far as a new record is concerned???
I've just checked Brett's Twitter journal and lo and behold...
"Not braggin' but I Just wrote a complete song, top to bottom, in about two hours... :D" 1:21 PM Feb 21st from web
It goes without saying... I shit my pants.
I know it's no clear indication of another record because Brett writes all the time but still humour us, please?

Yeah I'm with badrelignsf on this one. Even if all the songs were ready it would be at least 3 months later before they rehearsed it together and half a year before it's on a new album. It's so funny that on this site these fans constantly crap in their pants. LOL

one of the things i know brett likes to do after a long recording session, is write some songs to "cleanse his palate", per se. he also does that after writing long complicated songs. that's not to say they don't make the cut... it's just something he seems to do. as of now, the earliest we could see the studio would be late october, and that would be dependent on material.

What are the chances for the new album to be released in the first half of '10? I mean, NMoH was recorded in about a month if I remember correctly (March to April?), and settling on a release date shouldn't be much of a problem with the label.

I just want to say as a member of this fan site for years and a staff member for much of that, I think it is really fantastic that you take the time to come here and talk to us, even if it's just a little bit here and there. I've helped manage other fan sites and we've never heard so much as boo from any of those guys. Thankee sir.

no problem for the label. IF we get the recording done before the end of jan, it's entirely possible to have it out by may / june... but that's a big IF. we will have a lot of road time this year to talk about recording. we will probably all have a better idea after the warped tour...

Hey Jay, do you know if there is any chance of Epitaph release the new Album in Brazil? I heard that a brazilian Label was going to release Epitaph records here, but I don't know if it is truth, do you know something about that? because NMOH and LATP are very hard to find in the stores here
