I was just looking at the new Burton (snowboarding brand) 2010 winter stuff and I bumped into the next shirt:
![]() How cool is this...especially for those who love snowboarding/ Burton stuff and BR!!! Too bad there's no girls version. :( |

Haha cool....didn't see that one. Guess Burton is doing some kind of 'punk' line!?
And yes, you really should get a Burton board...they're so far the best ones I've owned. Love their bindings as well (especially the ones with the cap strap). I'm not so fond of their boots, I rather prefer boots with a BOA lacing system. I'm enjoying my Vans Encore boots for several years now. I'm really tempted to buy the shirt and 'resize' it it a little (like I did back in the old days with band shirts haha). |

i've got the burton ruler boots with their sort of "speed lacing" or something, they're pretty nifty. i have rome board and bindings now, and love them but think i'll give burton a go this next time around.
alright, i'm ready for winter. |

Very cool! It's annoying how difficult it is to find girls versions (the same goes for band shirts)......

Got the shirt today and it rocks! At the back of the shirt (between the shoulders) there's even "Burton Snowboards" printed in the Friz Quadrata font. :D

Haha, yeah, it looks a little odd, but they did that to get the same look as the original No Control print. By the way, the shirt is listed in the catalog as "Snow Control".

Well if it was surf and not snow board, there could always be that NOFX thing :

Jesse, did you consider buying a simple female tee and sticking patches in it or in hoodies, t-shirts, shorts or cutoffs?

again jesse preference... with the minimalist stuff not many will agree.. as you can see by the amount of bombastic styled shirts.
i personally dont like this shirt.. its just a rip off.. to me.. was it even done legit? sigh i rarely wear band shirts.. but thats only due to collecting em.. but as for saying 95% suck.. you just either havent seen many shirts are are pretty hard to please lol.. you and marty share that quality i think hehe but you have to agree you made that % up.. lol |

And I think (for me at least) the 95% is pretty reasonable. If I go to 10 live shows (regardless of the band), chances are I only see 1 shirt that I like. Last time I bought a band shirt was 1,5 years ago I guess. Definition of "liking": seeing a shirt (and its design) and saying to yourself: "hey, that's a cool shirt... I might actually wear it in public without feeling like a jackass or a 12yr old kid who doesn't give a shit about what he/she looks like". And what's up with the "sigh"?? |

Where did I use the word 'minimalistic'? Yes, I did in another thread, but not in this one. This shirt is not minimalistic. I actually think that the No Control artwork is one the worst ones of all BR albums. However, I do like this shirt since it is an ode by Burton (one of my favorite snowboarding brands) to BR (my favorite band). You won't ever see me wearing this shirt, only to a (BR) show or when I'm going to snowboard.
And when I said 95% I really meant 95% (ok it could be 97%)...I'm sure that if I was given a catalog with band shirts I could easily blot out 95% of the shirts, simply because I don't like the design. As for the shirt being legit...I think it's more legit than 50% of your unofficial (fake) shirts... 8-) Edited by Jesse - 08/17/2009 at 22:38 |

Normally I don't buy and use bands tees with albums artworks but I would buy and use one with No Control artwork. This cover is not my favorite, but it would be very beautiful in a simple black tee, because of the colors. Is this design a milimalistic one? I'm not sure of it but it doesn't matter to me if I like the design..
