I played it for like 8 or 9 hours and got really bored with Salvatore's writing - strange really, he is one of my favorite genre writers. Thought I'd enjoy it more than I would considering how awesome the individual elements are - they just never coalesce into anything really special. The character progression is kind of neat.
So when I got paid Friday I dumped 200$ into my Diablo 3 RMAH account. Currently now sitting just shy of 750$. More than tripled my money in 3-4 hours of work, and now that my Excel Spreadsheets are all set up and ready to be tweaked, I anticipate only making more money faster. |

I only went as far as playing the demo for the bonus ME3 items, but it was fun.
Kinda sucks how 38 went down. I always liked Curt Schilling. Great pitcher.

Gravel I must admit you make me want to take advantage of this real money thing. With 550$ in 4 hours, I suggest you quit your job :P

Here's a list:
- yellow location location rings over a yellow/tan map make them hard to locate
- Saving before you go through a door that has to load to get through
* (so when you die, and the game reloads, it loads you in front of a door that you have to go through. 2x loading
screens straight after each other. And just to kick you in the teeth some more, if you fast travel out of that
location, that adds a 3rd loading screen to the mix - make sure you don't travel to a keep or cave, because that'll
be a total of 4 loading screens in succession!)
- Your character not speaking a single word the entire game.
- Maps have a very limited close-up view
- The Map pointer getting 'stuck' over a location ring which blocks off the town that you want to fast-travel to.
- Jumping points to jump off a cliff face, instead of being able to jump off whereever the hell you like! (Assassin's
Creed totally mastered this aspect of gaming)
- Turning off the subtitles but still getting subtitles when ever characters spoke to you.
[Edit]
- And you can't jump from a stand still or running position. No jump-up mechanic.
I'm playing the main story through a second time on hard to get the achievement, and the story is very convaluted and kind of patched together. Two of the faction quests I found far more enjoyable on the first playthrough than the mainquest on its own.
I do like the overall shape of the game, but the main story never seems to stay with you when you go off and do other things. Having said that, the first play through I pretty much went out of my way to do every single bloody thing I could before continuing on with the story so there you go. I have an awesome first-playthrough character, but no real recollection of the plot.
I don't think I would reccommend this to hardcore gamers, but it is fun for the casual player. And if the creators had spent more time on it - maybe a year or two - I'd like to think many of those annoying things could be adressed and reshaped, and the characters could have been given more depth, your character could have talked and moved just like all the others. But maybe this is how they wanted it. Edited by Warstub - 07/07/2012 at 18:10 |

Just watched some trailers to End Of Nations, I must say it's the first modern game (both in creation and setting terms) that looks appealing in the last 15 years. Keeping an eye on it until it's out.

monk/dh mostly. but I dont sell gear that I find. I just buy and sell. Mostly i just log in to play with the AH now. Im actually gonna resubscribe to WoW for a month because playing the D3 AH reminds me of how much fun I had playing the WoW AH where there's actual economy to fuck around with. Buying and selling is the funnest part of these games lmfao. this is why I'm a business/accounting student bahaha. |

I haven't played video games for a loooong time, I even sold my playstation 2 and sega megadrive because I got bored to them. But now for some reason I kind of longed for those old dos/pc games and downloaded a game called Nightmare Creatures. Basically this is is pretty enjoyable game but the gameplay ruins it all. Turning around is awfully slow and who the hell got this awesome idea that when you press backwards, the character will JUMP backwards, not walk or run or whatever. This+awful jumping in general+some "jump to these wooden planks which are really narrow and surrounded by water scenes" just kills the passion for me. Shame, it was kind of fun for a moment.

Reminds me I still need to replay Gaia, only did once, and it was like 13 years ago. Right now I have a rush to do ActRaiser and FF Mystic Quest first though lol Edit; Haven't played the first one, but this whole Castlevania reboot series seems yummy.

I have Mystic Quest on a rom but i heard it was dumbed down for North America when it was brought over as rpg's hadnt quite become popular yet here. After these 2 it's Secret of Evermore. All those Square/Enix games made in the early 90s are as enjoyable now as they were then

Does anyone know how to connect my xbox 360 to my computer or laptop just so I can get a screenshot? I don't care about audio. Just want the screenshot.
I run Ubuntu on laptop, but I have access to Windows 7 on computers.
