Same thing with Inglorious Basterds and Fight Club: he wasn't bad at all in those movies, but I always felt that he's just there to bring in more moviegoers. You can't have the sexiest man of the planet playing a role of a lunatic mocking the fashion industry and telling how men models look ridiculous.
And Tom Cruise is awesome. In a funny way. I love Top Gun, Cocktail and other movies where he's playing the same thing over and over again: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Vmg9e785lo
And DiCaprio is way better now when he's not only a cute guy any more, he's finally gotten some real charisma.

@Nick, sorry man, you missed the boat.  THPS hasn't been a good series since 2.  Ok, ARGUABLY 3.  Which was like a decade ago at least :(

A great song like Only Rain should not be in a shitty game like Tony Hawk's Shred. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=czPw0Zs04-A&list=HL1324271639&feature=mh_lolz

Yeah, a THPS remake, what a great way to feel like a 14 year old again...wait what, I don't want to be 14 again.Sure I've got nice memories from those times but I've got more money, more friends, a better sex life and more fun now, fuck THPS and bring me some new games.

I'm not saying 'fuck nostalgia', as I've said before I have some old consoles (SNES, N64, Game Boy) that are still perfectly working and which I play every now and then. I'm just sick of video game industry following Hollywood by sticking to sequels, remakes, prequels and whatever.

umm... the tony hawk series got progressively worse after tony hawks underground. The last four games, THP8, THPG, THR, and THS were terrible in my opinion. They didn't receive as much sales or good reviews as the older games. I think it is a very smart business move to start off fresh and go back to what the fans loved most.

I am hoping that you were overreacting when you hinted that a remake will ruin your sex life. you're treating a 15 dollar game like it's a bad ex.

Of course it's very smart business to always go back to what fans loved most. Just remake the same shit from the days you didn't suck, people will surely buy it. I don't understand why anyone who has ever played Skate would like to go back to THPS. Too bad EA tried to ruin Skate too by pushing too many sequels out in too short time, wasn't interested in the third one at all.

What I'm saying is why don't we all just let the past be and try to move forward. Yeah, the latest Tony Hawk games have probably been a pile of shit (don't know, THUG was the last one I played) but you could try and go back to your roots without remaking everything.

I don't know man, I loved thps games and skate games equally. That's all I play. I really don't have any other games.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations sucked a big ball of ass. There were some pretty decent moments of action and scaling caverns, but overall the whole game had way too much loading screens that completely broke up the flow of the game. The Altaïr sections were reduced to having to be unlocked by Ezio which was a huge disappointed for anyone who might be going back for action through that character; his story was also reduced to, mostly, what seemed like a side-line without much 'meat'. Much of the game-play outside of the story relied on being a cross-over between the first AC and Brotherhood.
In the end, I was very relieved that I caved-in and rented the game, instead of waiting a bit longer to buy it when I had the money.

I guess it's fair to say that though. But you have to admit that THUG1 is fantastic.

Another fine example of how to fuck everything up, Ubisoft made change from a fanboy (absolutely loved ACII) to this guy who doesn't even want to try out the latest entry in the series. And this happened in just two years., must be a world record or something.

I was certainly excited about Revelations but I read that they needed to get the over-arching storyline completed before the projected end of the world, because that's actually what the whole storyline is about; so AC:III featuring Desmond will be done before the end of the year/world. ;-)
Quite honestly, I'd be happy with an end-of-the-world story arriving after the expected end of the world had been and gone if it meant a non-rushed and far superior game.
Ubisoft is starting to come across as a money hungry entity only. Regardless of the flaws of Prince of Persia 2008, in creating a sequel, they had on their hands the potential to make a masterpiece that could have built on what they achieved in Assassin's Creed and the beautiful cell shading used in PoP, but no, selling only 2 million copies of a game isn't nearly enough to warrant a sequel (perhaps they were scared off - also - by the hardcore gamers spewing vitriol about the no death mechanic). Instead you have this AC experience that completely ruins the concept of immersive gaming and the general flow that that should entail. I got so sick of having to accept every little assignment presented to me. In theory, because you are living someone else's memories, it doesn't even make much sense to have to accept every aspect of every assignment; accept the overarching assignment, yes, but from there on in the entire mission should just be one free flowing adventure with save-points only.
