No, I don't think so. It won't be a sandbox game, but more of an action rpg one.

I'd say this is what minecraft could've been if Notch did not sit on his ass after making millions. Cube World is a lot more beautiful than Minecraft. You can level, kill bosses, get skills, craft items, have a pet, go on quests. The villages looks actually real, compared to those bullcrap ones in Minecraft. There are shops, dungeons, drops, loots, etc.

What is different from Minecraft is that Cube World is not building oriented. You can build a house, but from blueprints you'll find, and not directly from cubes. But it doesn't really matter since it's not the point of the game.

The whole game seems a lot smoother, just look at some gameplay videos.

You got it all wrong, FFMQ was made by Square in Japan but deliberatly oriented for American markets. It is a simplier RPG compared to the usual Final Fantasies and Dragon Warriors of the time, but that was the whole purpose. It was released as Final Fantasy USA; Mystic Quest in Japan. It was a dumbed down RPG for casual Japanese RPGers, but it was made so to bring the american audiences into RPGs. It shares the same battle designs as the FF Legend line of games on GameBoy, which is part of Square's Saga line of games, spanned on GameBoy, Snes, and PlayStation.

The FF which was dumbed down for North America is Final Fantasy IV, when it was first released as FF II on the snes. This is why you should get any of the rereleases if you want to play the original full game, and not the dialog changed and some skills/monsters/items removed version that Nintendo *oriented* Square to do back then.

Edit; Typotypotypotypo

Edit; Oh yeah, what really really matters is... yes, FFMQ is still a great rpg, the soundtrack is epic and magical american rock influenced fantasy glory, the colors are great, and the gameplay is fun. You'll have a good time, just don't expect to spend hours wondering what class should your characters be and what to equip them with lol

3D castlevania has been 100% awful thus far.

It was made FOR american audiences and so came dummied down out of the box.  Secret of Evermore was made IN america FOR american audiences and is often considered a "miss" compared to Mana, but I really love it!

lol Interesting but it's still wrong and ironic cause MQ is a grown up kind of game made for children and SOE is a kid game pretending to have been made for grown ups. Comparing it to Mana is also foolish, for the same reasons that Final Fantasy Legend games should have been named as what they were; part of their own saga.

My brother got me Skyrim for Father's Day, and I finally started playing it this month.  As a WoW exile, I am both pleased and dismayed.  And hooked.

I started The Witcher 2 on my Xbox 360 at home the other night. It's 6:12pm and I'm still at work.

I'm willing to admit, that it's not my type of game, so perhaps my thoughts on it arn't going to be particularly relevant or neccessary, but nevertheless, I am going to state that I don't like the UI in this game (either). Story seems rather slow going, and conversations don't have that much intensity or drive to them.

I don't actually know what UI stands for.

Wow, yeah it does look like this game. But 3D Dot Game Heroes also looks a lot more like Zelda than Cube World do.

Gravel, if you like rts type of game, I suggest you look at this coming indie game, from a Montreal company.

They will start their kickstarter on friday. It looks pretty good.

The Witcher 1 is much better than the Witcher 2.  Almost anyone will tell you this.
