^You have guts posting that here and phrasing it like you did. xD

I hold the album and live performances to a different standard. No way in hell are you going to get the intro of Sinister Rouge with 4 singers, 3 of which are playing their instruments, like on the album. That's just editing wizardry, and I love it on the albums, but I can't realistically expect it all when played live. I'm fine with that, and it makes the live experience unique. Stop bitching, especially at one of the men that kills his hearing and wrists multiple consecutive nights for our enjoyment. =p

It's OK rmg, I'm not "bitching" at all... All I'm saying is that latealy the ooooozin ahhhhhhs seem to be an integral part (unlike in records like No Control or ATG, in which they work just as a complementary thing, when needed) of almost every new BR song, and if you take that out it really becomes noticeable and the song is not the same because, as I say, much of the esence of the song relies on those powerful backing vocals. I dunno, it's like a church choir war sometimes. Again, don't get me wrong, NMoH is one my favorites (check my ranking), those songs work great as studio tracks, but I'm not so sure about the live experience.

Guns, are you really sure about Honest Goodbye? If pressured, I'd have picked it out as the perfect example to back up my statement. As much as the great singer Greg is, he just can't handle the whole Wooooooooooo-oohhhhhhhhh-ohhhhhhh-ohhhhhhhhhhhhh on his own. Poor guy, remember that Late Night show (can't remember which it was) they did? It was a bit embarrassing to see him almost out of breath trying to sing that.
"No Bad Religion song can make your life complete..." - But what about their whole discography?

I like don't really care about the backing vocals that much. I only think that Jay's mic can have twice as much volume. Like in "New Dark Ages" he takes over Greg's part "..expand beyond all hope of ...And it's just not as loud as Greg. I do like Jay and Brians backing vocals. When I went to see Paul McCartney last year it was almost annoying that the backing vocals were so perfect and without personality. Bad Religion is Rock 'n Roll!

Any chance you're writing songs on this album? Wasn't the last time you wrote a BR song "The Same Person" (sorry if I'm way off)? I love Part III and The Positive Aspect of Negative Thinking. =)

Well, he doesn't have to read it if he doesn't want to... but the amount of people asking "OMGZ! IS BR TOURING IN (Insert city/country) !?!?!?!!?" is a little out of control... and frankly, boring.

I'm curious how much music Jay plays in the off time... do you have another instrument you're fond of?  Do you even play bass that consistently when you aren't with the band?  I just wonder because it seems way back when you were kinda just thrown onto bass and it stuck... just like where I'm at!

i play an acoustic guitar every day. i play a bass a least 2 or 3 times a week. i was playing wih some friends in vancouver to keep my chops up, but now i'm down in l.a. so maybe i'll do some work with brooks.
