Paulopilha's topic was a little confusing since he's referring to the Seattle show, but using the 19th as the date.

I would like to schedule a meeting of the minds in San Francisco on friday the 19th. Either before
the show, or in line waiting for the show, or at the bar inside the venue.  Who all is going to Greg's book signing before the show? Looks like calrockx, Egg, Graffinius, greenghost58, ij91, Justicus, miked, ruffian, sufferKidTattoo are planning on attending the show so far...

Hello.  I plan on checking out the book signing.  Might go check out a friend's housewarming party after that, but then back to the venue in time for the show.

Count me in to meet minds.

I've seen Bad Religion 24 times.  There's only two bands that opened for them that I actually liked; Street Dogs and Death By Stereo edit: (and how could I forget the best fucking opening act ever; Lightnin' Woodcock).  The rest were tolerable or horrible.

Yeah I was aware about the doors opening as the singing will be finishing up, but hey, I was going to drive up to SF just for the signing up until two nights ago when I lucked out and got some tickets on stubhub.

I'm totally down to meet up. I don't think I'll be attending the book signing, but I think it would be fun to meet some of you guys.

like the 20th... dont knock TAD... they rock... just not like BR

and MikeD is my friend here.. he cant get a ticket for the 19th.. only the 20th but he is down for meeting then!

im down to meet but again im also passing on the book singing as ive said, due to mainly being freaked every time about will call.

TAT/REVOLUTION MOTHER   both bands opened for them in ventura,  both rock
Miss Derringer/woodcock  both totally diff.. i cant stand woodcock for TO long.. in person i mean.. but live .. HILARIOUS lyrics but nothing SERIOUS...

man compared to the shit that opens for most bands.. guttermouth is awesome

and uhh

that would make you like 20? they werent really big till about 90 right?
and live they still rock a fuckin house.. so how long has it been..
once again.. seems people are to subjective to what is or what has been

like bouncing souls.. been around forever too..bet you will say they suck too i suppose?
sigh

of course I CANT argue that older guttermouth and older BS isnt better than newer :P
this i agree 2000% with you on.

but saying you would rather her some no name local SD band over guttermouth.. is kinda.. well dumb

idk

idk

Never said that.  I would rather hear a good band (IMO) open up for BR, whether it be a local band or otherwise (but chances are that won't happen).  I wouldn't mind Guttermouth, but I don't currently think that they're awesome..  Who knows, maybe seeing them live would change my mind.

But misquoting me, and then saying that what I've said is dumb... is kinda... well not the best way to make friends. Is it?

never said you were dumb.. but claiming a band you havent seen in god knows how long ... is out dated..
in your words "were popular when i was 15"  its a dumb.. and literally retarded (in the real definition) sense

held back...

I dont particualarly like guttermouth either !
and didnt really much minus like when i was 18 or so.. andddd  when I saw them in SD.. they just rocked it... harder than any other opener .. and I was on most of that tour..

anyway saying what you are saying.. is dumb.. isnt saying you are..

just kinda.. wow.. you really said that?
I havent seen no doubt play in 8 years or something.. bet they blow.. etc (no clue if they do or not but they used to rock) ill guess they suck and just never see them ..

:P

And for the record, Of With Their Heads kicks all kinds of ass. I'd probably go as far as to say I like them better than I do the Souls. They're definitely worth giving a shit about.

Absolutely not my words....

I didn't feel like I needed to go into a bunch of boring details... My girlfriend has Guttermouth on her IPOD, and she put it on the other day as a joke (because neither of us have listened to it in years and years), and instantly I didn't like it.  I remembered liking it when I was younger, a freshman in high school, but now I don't.  That's what I was saying.

I don't really like a lot of punk.  There has to be something else to it like great lyrics, or great musicianship, or if I see them live, a great stage presence. There hasn't been very many opening bands that I've liked at BR shows.  Like I said earlier, maybe one or two.

Listen, are you going to meet up at the show with us?  Or is your crazy ass going to remain a complete mystery?  :)

Maybe I will be surprised at the show!  I just usually don't have high hopes.  I usually hang out against the front barricade and count the minutes through each set until BR hits the stage.
