As some of you have already noticed, a new section was added to the site recently: Bootlegs. Our intention here is to provide a comprehensive overview of (hopefully) all live recordings - both audio and video; This includes information such as the Source (e.g. Soundboard, Audience, Broadcast), Quality (from Poor to Excellent) and samples.
The Bootlegs section even allows people (registered users only) to indicate that they own certain bootlegs and specify if they're willing to share them.

Because The Bad Religion Page has a lot to share we've decided to introduce "Bootleg Friday". This means that every Friday we'll be adding 2 or 3 new downloadable bootlegs to the archive, of which most are pretty rare or even never-before-seen/heard!

So let's kick it off with the following selection:

1994/95/96 are audio only... and I don't think we have any pro shot videos.

Unfortunately, Rapidshare has become terribly slow for free users. So it might be better to change to a different filehoster, unless you are willing to give RS your personal information.

Thanks, micpal. I just read their announcements on facebook and I'm pretty pissed off that they've limited the to speed to just 30kB/s(!). There's no way I'm giving them any details.
So what are good alternatives to megaupload and rapidshare? The only one I can think of right now is Mediafire. But how long before they pull something like this?!

I figured something was wrong, It says I'm downloading with 300kb/s but it still takes forever.

Go to a show, scroll down to where the bootlegs are (if any); in the "Owner(s)" column, click [Show] to see who owns this bootleg and is willing to share it. Click the [Download] link from there.
Or you can go directly to the Bootlegs section and do the same thing there.

Because I noticed some questions popping up in the shoutbox it thought it would be a good thing to explain a little bit more about the new Bootlegs section.

There are 2 ways of accessing bootlegs:
1) Via the Shows section; each show page contains a part where information about bootlegs is or can be visible.
2) Via the Bootlges section itself; every single bootleg can be searched on using the search options on the right. This includes names of venues, cities, countries, etc.

Some general tips:
- Where possible (and if time allows) samples are added to each bootleg. For videos these are a couple of screencaps and for audio these are 30 second previews. For audio bootlegs, click on the speaker icon to play the sample.
- Only interested in seeing downloadable bootlegs? Go to the Bootlegs section and from the "Method of sharing" option on the right select "Direct download".
- The quality of most of the bootlegs here sucks, who do I complain to? Your mother.
- How to tell if a certain show has bootleg information without having to open it first from the search results in the Shows section? A ticked checkbox is visible there, all the way on the right.
