Hi Jay!

Something turned up regarding the shirt stuff of yours..

Just came up a link on a thread of this shirt: http://shop.bompa.com/superstore/bad-religion-stone-buster.html
Just somehow the "Fuckin" part is missing.
Is this stuff you get to deal with or do these things change without your knowledge/permission?
Or is this bootleg stuff just sold around on the internet? Maybe licensed merch out afterwards??

Fast supposition would be that the fuckin word was BR's trick to know the shirt is official or not, knowing lots of shops wouldn't sell it with the fuck word. Or it's just a bonus they deliberatly put on the version they sell at shows. Or I shouldn't pretend that I really care and just say what I first thought of saying here, which is;

Jay, the big "derecho" storm on June 29 knocked my power out for a whole week, and I had to cook in my juices like a turkey waiting for the A/C to work again. What is the longest you've ever had to live without electricity (camping doesn't count, that's intentional).

Jay,

I'm going on a cruise next week that leaves from Vancouver. I'll be in Vancouver this weekend (fri afternoon through sunday morning), presumably at a hotel downtown. Can you recommend any cool restaurants, points of interest, etc that would appeal more to a 34 year old BR fan and skateboarder with Hetson Hairline, than to some tourists wearing Hawaiian shirts and awful white shorts and flip-flops?

i was told a place called kiss yo mama on cambie st is good, you been there?

Jay,

First, thanks for being the most approachable guy of Bad Religion. The "Ask Jay" initiative is very humble and cool.

Then, 2 questions :

1/ I just wondered if you guys aren't working (or even thinking) on a projet that would looks like NOFX's Decline. Or any song with many part and a leitmotiv containing some trumpet (or piano, or banjo, or eastern lute, whatever ;-) ) that reaches 20 mn. Seriously, I know you made enough masterpieces, but a projet like that would really, really be great stuff.

2/ France ? Paris ? Wtf guys, every time you come to Europe, you just go directly to Germany ! I love traveling to Berlin, but, believe me, we are litteraly longing for your venue. I am actually working on a french-speaking blog talking acout Bad Religion, only to get you more popular here, and then you'll come !!

3/ About the 25 cents. I will not pay you in Euros, this is the Euro crisis here, so you'll get some Canadian buck instead. Is that ok ;-) ?

Thanks in advance for the answers.

In France the gaz and the highway are expensive. Also, the audience is smaller there than in germany or UK. SO it's really expensive for a band like bad religion to play there.

But the good part is a show every 6 years makes it special haha

i don't know kiss yo mama... but there is great food all around, nightlife varies though. i like the railway club for a bar and see who's playing at the commodore. some of the smaller clubs niagra / the cobalt might have some good shows... if you like sushi, go to tojos... kind of pricey, but worth it. steaks go to gotham... go to the vancouver art museum and if you can make it out to ubc go to the natural history museum

Nice, I never knew what the first Bad Religion song was before now. I really enjoy the lyrics, and they're definitely applicable to what's happening in the world today even though it was written 30 years ago. Definitely a great song to start off the Bad Religion discography!

I don't really have a question, but rather a suggestion. You should totally cover the Ghostbusters theme song while changing it into Crossbusters. I'd love to hear that, seriously.
