I think they do it by design, not by accident or due to scantiness of music ideas. "Am F C G" is like a cheat code to make song catchier, and they still don't feel any shame for using it.

I had a good feeling about the album after hearing couple of songs in advance and I can't say I'm disappointed.
Sure CC is still horrible and there are couple of lame songs, but Future is Now, Days Go By, Hurting as One, Dividing by Zero and Slim Pickens are all awesome songs.
