Heaven is falling, I can't listen to that song anymore. One day I woke up and played the song in my car and I heard: "It sounds like Kevin is bowling"
It's the same with epiphany. A couple of years ago a guy on this page said it sounded like "a big bunny" instead of "epiphany".
I am so sad

@Mods, maybe it's a nice idea to make this into a topic for "misheard lyrics"?

It really does sound like he says underwear. I've tried to hear "unaware," but damnit, there's a "d" in there.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself. It's made up of two separate words: "mank" and "ind." What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

I think this one has been thrown around before but it would be: "One FART per million, Unacceptable!"

I have a couple favorite non BR ones:

Misfits "Skulls":  "Demon I am on the baseball field"  actual lyrics: "Demon I am and face I peel"

Pogues "Broad Majestic Shannon":  "Where we once watched the robots landing"  actual lyrics: "Where we once watched the row boats landing".

I probably might have misheard a lot, but I just can't recall any as I'm a sucker when it comes to reminding lyrics (I really can't sing one full song of BR...or even any other band I listen to). Anyway, there's one misheard lyric that should be in here. It's not one of mine but by Preston Jones. I really laughed my ass of when I read his introduction. Here's that part of the intro for those who haven't read http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41HNCFR0HWL._SL500_AA240_.jpg - the book :

"That evening, KUOR was playing punk, and one of the songs I recorded was titled (I thought) "well Go Ahead and Die."  It became my favorite eighties punk song. But I never knew who recorded it, and I never understood its lyrics, except for the line "Early man walked away, and Spider-Man's in control," which doesn't exactly make sense."

Mishearing lyrics... this happens to me a lot! But especially with BR, either because Graffin has to squeeze lots of syllables in and ends up distorting the lyrics into something incoherent, or simply because the words are too big for my small mind to comprehend, so I turn it into something more familiar.

Although sometimes, it's just me being stupid. Here's an example of lyrics I misheard - I would like to hear you guys examples (if you have any) and see if any of us have made similar mistakes.

You could never resist
Glorifying despair
Well now it's coming to you and I don't really care - Broken from the Process of Belief.

You could never resist,
You're a fly in despair,
Well now it's coming to you, and I don't really care - my version!

I also thought that he said "to get to 9/11 is easy"....  Then, at a concert, during that song, he pointed right at me as he sang that lyric and I saw the words come out of his mouth "get to 9/11 is easy".   Maybe he knows that it sounds so much alike, he even get's confused.?
