12:34 by Authority Zero

Insanely good band from Arizona but not well known. A good mix of reggae, ska, hardcore punk, and hard rock. Plus it helps me do my Calc homework for some reason.

For the past week, I've mainly been listening to Propagandhi's incredible new album Supporting Caste and Pennywise's classic From the Ashes. Also I've been listening some random Offspring songs.

Authority Zero is pretty good.  The older stuff is a bit better imo, but I've found I've really outgrown the skatepunk sound they lean towards on 12:34.

I'm listening to Jamiroquai!

edit
Also, like Anti- I've listened to Supporting Caste at least a dozen times in it's entireity since it leaked, probably more.

Maybe the most hyped band in the blogosphere, but it's a very nicely done album. The vocals are some of the best AC have done.

And AnxietyDestroys, In the Aeroplane Over The Sea may be the greatest thing ever made.

Totally agree with you, AnxietyDestroys and God. - Neutral Milk Hotel is a great band!

Currently taking a break from BR and listening to Josh Ritter - an amazing singer/songwriter from the Northwest U.S., where I grew up.  You can listen to his most recent album in its entirety at http://www.joshritter.com/historical/ - http://www.joshritter.com/historical/   .  Check out "Temptation of Adam", "Rumors", "Still Beating" and "To the Dogs...".

That's interesting because I thought 12:34 had too much of a hard rock sound and their previous albums had more of a skatepunk sound. I prefer their ska stuff to their punk stuff though. Also, I agree the old stuff is better, Passage in Time is still my favorite by them.

I wouldn't go quite that far. It's good tunes...but they were barely a band and their first album is too fuzzy.

Only thing I really dig about it are the references to Anne Frank and the bag pipes...other than that it's too whiny.

You want real tunes check out the other 2 bands I'm listening to. That stuff is worthy enough to call great.

actually, the bands called: g bad religion. i think its some phonetic thing. like: gee! bad religion! and the albums actually called "nerator". it was originally meant to be 'narrator', but they ran out of room on the cover and had to improvise. and yes, thats the original prototype for wolverines hand. they eventually removed those feather things cause apparently they were too "feminine", and replaced them with the infamous knives we all now know and love.

No. But I did download Paranoid deluxe edition. there's a really gay alternative lyric being sung over Planet Caravan.

Meanwhile, I been listening to Mastodon's new album Crack the Skye and their first album Remission. Liking both more than Blood Mountain and Liviathan.  Actually Blood Mountain is probably my least liked of their albums.

Edit; Oh yeah, and I just creamed my pants. Oh well, we wear pajamas for a reason, don't we ? ;P
Edit; I'm baked, but I just can't get enough of this song. Makes me think about some 80's adventure action movie, even if the music is so poppish her damn voice is just too haunting. Gorgle Barg beware!!!
