Synopsis: | A very short article about the upcoming Tested album. |
Bad Religion received its share of flack when the original D.I.Y.'ers originally signed to Atlantic Records. Looks like the seminal L.A. punk band may be back in the van again. After Atlantic refused to release Tested, a new 27-track live album, the band pulled a punk move by enlisting the Germany-based Dragnet label to release the album in America, and there's the really good news: Tested won't be at an import price. Although Atlantic isn't commenting, one popular theory is the label didn't want Tested to interfere with sales of the band's next studio effort (which hasn't been recorded yet).
"We were determined to reach our fans in America somehow," says BR vocalist Greg Graffin. "By working together with Dragnet we both make less money by having it imported at a low price, but it's worth it."
Tested is due April 8.
