You're right. It doesn't matter much. Why have pricniples when you can just coast through life taking what you're given and never contributing any thoughts of your own? I wish more people had the courage sit down and not be counted just like you.
Obviously these little issues are trivial. What I (and many others) are arguing is a principle. Unfortunately that gets lost on alot of people who see any form of dissent as a personal attack. I know the world won't stop stop without me. I'm simply making a point which, even though many people don't seem to like, they (for the most part) agree with. The principle is the important thing, not the issue. If you have something constructive to say (other than telling me to be calm, which I always am), please do.

All I ask is that news be reported on a section of the site labeled news. This site has always been the best site for Bad Religion info...usually trumping the official Bad Religion site. However, no matter how much I respect something/someone when it/they starts to slip, I call them on it. I've been using this site for information/news/tabs/etc... for over ten years (back when it was on tierranet). I enjoy talking to the majority of people on this site. I also have strong opinions based on facts and on observation, as do most of the people who post comments here. 98% of the things posted on this site qualify as news, some more than others, but they're still news. These 2% of comments about people covering BR are not in any way, shape, or form news about Bad Religion. I'm sorry you can't see that and I'm even sorrier that you don't care. If you allow the quality of something great to slowly degrade pretty soon it doesn't resemble itself anymore. I hope we can at least agree on that.

Well, if you don't appreciate the news and if they are not newsworthy enough for your noble taste, why don't you go to another website - or even better: go make your own BR page.

Where did I call you ignorant? That word was not used once. Where did I resort to saying "Fuck You"? Usually that is a sign of having nothing intelligent to say during an argument (that's not ignorance, though). I said you have low standards on what is considered NEWS. Do you see the icon on the top left of the page? It says "News". I realize these trite little stories might seem like news to you, but they're not. My argument (should you choose to actually read it) was that these little fluff stories are not news...and they BARELY qualify as entertainment. Putting these youtube links to people badly covering Bad Religion songs under the heading "News" on the BAD RELIGION PAGE is a misnomer. If you can't see that then there is little anyone can do to raise your standards. I'm glad you enjoy these pseudo-news fluff pieces. I'm sure there will be many more posted for you in the future.
P.S.
I love that you WERE a global citizen, and NOW you're from GERMANY.

Well, fuck you. Don't call me ignorant. I simply like this website, including all those little not-so-important news. My appreciation of BR related news or entertainment has nothing at all to do with my standards of news in general. I read 2 different daily newspapers and I use several news websites every day. I also watch the news on TV every other time, not too frequently though since I don't really watch a lot of TV in general. I don't trust any source I hear or see and I look at every type of media critically.
Still I like these slightly BR unrelated news too, since they are really interesting to me. You've got to make a difference between entertainment standards and information standards. Got the point?

"I'd rather have unimportant news than no news at all."
That is the one of the most pathetic things I've ever heard. When one goes to a specified place for a specified purpose (i.e. getting Bad Religion news on the Bad religion website) one expects a certain standard of what is to be considered news. I'm sorry you have such low standards (As do the majority of people on the planet). The sooner we begin to realize just how low we've allowed society's standards to sink and decide to actually say something about it (instead of just accepting the garbage that is fed to us as news) the better off we'll all be. I realize this is only a Bad Religion website, but I had hoped that the same people who frequented a site DEDICATED to one of the most socially conscious bands on the planet would have a better sense of social awareness than that. Obviously my point of view on "news" is much more far reaching than just this website, but really, show some common sense and some ability to discern.

Actually i think it's pretty interesting. And anyway, I'd rather have unimportant news than no news at all. If you don't like the news here, well don't read them then.

All these goofy covers don't bother me...deal with it. I'm glad people are picking up an instrument and giving it a go. Some people get pissed off a bit too much.

*cosign the WTFcares? movement*
If it was particularly well played or sung that would be one thing...but this is just a subpar cover of an okay song by someone who may or may not have talent in 5 years...

No seriously I agree with the guy below. Who cares? I want news, if there is no news don't post anything. Your site, you do what you want. But what the hell? I don't care about some random girl on youtube or wherever doing covers of BR songs. I'm sure I could find a ton of people doing that on the internet if I gave myself five minutes to search through all that crap.

Here's a wild idea. Who cares? This site is supposed to be for news and song information related to the BAND Bad Religion, and it's members. If someone wants to start a site called www.thebrcoverpage.net more power to them, but until then...Neil stop submiting this nonsense as news. Who cares that some girl can play a walk or some "hillbilly chick" (as she is so intelligently refered to) can play Delirium of Disorder (sort of). People can post all the videos they want of themselves on youtube playing BR songs but it has nothing to do with Bad Religion. I'm sick of seeing these, as I'm sure are many others. This is not news. Period.

its not such a big deal if its fast, but her singing and the guitar playing didn't line up. she hasn't studied the song enough apparently. its cool. i didn't get very far into it. does she play the solo? its an easy solo, but i like playing it.
