the reason I didnt like it is because the rappers of today are, with their lyrics,
just childish,
but if you say he isnt, I believe,
I'll listen to it soon.
glad to hear their are rappers with actual meaning in the lyrics.

This interview was posted on Epitaph's site quite awhile ago.
Oh, Sage Francis is a great artist and everyone that has listened to Makishift Pratriot knows that he is not your everyday rapper.

Sage Francis rocks, and deserves to be bowed to. To reply to 'Part III', Sage Francis is more political, and probably more 'punk' than some of the artists currently signed to Epitaph. Just because he doesn't play punk rock does not make him inferior. He's an incredibly talented guy, who deserves all the success he will (undoubtedly) recieve.

Yeah, Sage Francis also has a somewhat political message, my friend bought "Personal Journals" and it's a pretty decent album...

and its not like these are DMX or 50 Cent rap, atmosphere and sage francis are really undergroud and a ton of their songs have actual meaning unlike hip hop on mtv that is like "oh, i like bacardi, i drive fast cars, where are the ho's and bling bling"
i think its cool that epitaph is not only still keeping punk rock independent, but offering rap and hiphop that wants to stay independent the chance too

I think Hip Hop is very un-poppy (just like Punk Rock).

it would freak me out if a rapper joines Epitaph,
than it shows the label is also getting to poppy.
That would suck!!!

A rapper likes a punk band? I don't see anything wrong here.
