Absolutely not. We aren't like E! at all. Proving this point is the simple fact that this size chose not to publicize the so called "Graffin Sex Scandal"

I can definitely agree with that. I, like you, come here for a reason. What my original point was (somewhere in the frustration) is that reason is starting to fade. There was a time when the news on this website was actualy relevant and newsworthy. Now the news is starting to be kind of "Entertainment Tonight"ish or "Access Hollywood"ish. I love reading BR news, but we're only a few steps away from having news like "Graffin sighted on beach with shirt off" or some other sensationalist stuff. And then the stuff we argue about on this forum is making me feel like I'm watching some reality show on the E! channel or MTV where its just cool to watch people fight. I agree with you that my trivialization of the people who are commenting only reflects back at me. But if we didn't ask for change, people would never change. My ideas are more suited to make people realize that there are better things to do than argue about these minor things. Speaking of which, I'll get back to my own sad life...

Trust me my friend, this website is one of many facets that permeate my life. It would be sad (and boring) if this was all I did with my time. Of course there are more imortant things than this. I agree with you 100% on that. However, that's not that point of the discussion. This portion of the website is for news about Bad Religion. Just the fact that you are posting comments here could be construed as a serious lapse in the thought processes that you are championing. If you have better things to do that take up all of your time than why are you posting comments here? Obviously there is something about this site that interests you and that's why you chose to visit it. If you trivialize people who post comments here about various issues you are also trivializing yourself. Obviously there are more important things in the world than this little website. The principles that are being discussed, however, are very important. Hopefully we can agree on that.

Kind of the point Boltzmann. Obviously this isn't the website for that, but you could go to the website for that rather than coming here to bicker about "what is newsworthy" or whatever. Or you could do something else to validate your life and kill your boredom.

Fortunately this site isn't set up to tackle these issues. I think you need to focus your anger somewhere else Danny. As for your argument, Jau, I agree with most of it. You're pointing out the obvious when you say that one argument will inevitably spark another. Your "freedom to respond is as much a freedom to complain" comment is obviously correct. Many people who espouse freedom of speech, however, quickly wilt into name calling when the holes in their argument are exposed. I like the fact that we can all share different ideas. I don't like the fact that most people don't think about what they're talking about before they start spouting nonsense. My argument about people directly, or indirectly, saying "If you don't like it, get out" may spark debate, but it doesn't mean it isn't true (as anyone can tell by the dozens of posts saying just that). I certainly agree people need to relax and discuss facts, rather than succumbing to emotion and "crapping their pants" as you say.

1. I agree with Jau
2. Davis apparently thinks that just because he says something it's true.
Let me try.
Neil sucks.
I just fucking owned Neil's rather annoying ass. :)
Nope, I don't think that works..

For anyone to argue that others are saying "you don't like it, get out" is defeating your own argument since whatever sides there areon the whole issues are reacting and playing off on each other.
freedom to respond is as much a freedom to complain. people crapping their pants about comment nazism should chill out and realize that oops, some people are just tired of anoyying whiny posts about no news.
The same goes for those crapping their pants about people complaining about the news. Remember: we all crap the same (biological) way, and hopefully in the same place :D

Well, here's another person who's missed the point entirely and wrote a long comment complaining about people leaving long comments and complaining. Those of you who don't understand the point by now probably never will. Everyone appreciates the time that is spent on this site. Unfortunately every community has different points of view. Heaven forbid people within that community post comments and opinions with opposing viewpoints. I know I'd hate to actually learn something from someone who has a different opinion than me. Try thinking about your argument before you click "Submit Comments". Even if I don't agree with some of the people on this site I still appreciate the people who can form a coherent argument. You sound more like the "If you don't like it than get out!" type. You're not by chance a NASCAR fan are you? Excuse me, I've got to go watch some porn. [Brilliant!]

why is everyone bitching about the news. I for one am glad that people can be bothered to put in the effort to add news on a regular basis. as far as i am concerned this site is doing a great job and gives voices to the ideas and opinions of the fans. for those of you who are crying about extra info added or peoples comments, you should just leave this site and check out the official website. after all it is a site where u get no updates or news.
I dont view this site as just a way of finding album release dates etc. it is a community and i for one am more than happy with the content. If i think a topic looks boring i just dont read it, not hard to do!
someone wrote...This has got to stop with all the people leaving comments about news that isn't news Don't come here everyday..use the internet to watch porn if you're bored.........why dont u watch porn and dry your eyes instead.
