Please forgive me for underrating the importance of your perseverative criticism of this page and those other people contributing to this page in a constructive way. I feel sort of ashamed for now being a part of this ridiculous discussion about good and bad news so I will quit that now. I do not care about how some boltzmans think about me but I do entertain suspicion that this page could be more peaceful if those people would stop taking out their cockfights here. Please drop me a line and show us how right I am.

If I were the webmaster of this page I would simply disable these comments! It seems as too many people have really too much time to waste. And personally, I am quite content that we do have only one news section here and not one for intervievs, one for reviews, one for new videos, old videos, old cover songs, new cover songs (not older than two days),...

What else would all of you bored and extremely dangerous kids do if wasn't for news nuggets that we could comment on until the next "its not news" topic posted? Nothing. So we should at least be greatful that your coming to this website between orgasms on your porn website routes. It gives you something else to do while you're all on christmas break...

to pwise/boltzzman:I was just saying that I (and maybe more people)am/are happy with the daily posts. I really appreciate the people who are updating this site daily. Of course I like news about an album release or tourdates. But if this site was only meant for that there would be 5 newsitems a year. My point was about popular bands was that they are in the news more, going to awardshows, appearing on tv more and even get space in real newspapers. So thank you thebrpage.net and fuck you to everybody bitching about what is news and what isnt

Wether or not you catalogue it under the term "News", I liked the clip. Thanks for posting it. It was definitly NOT a waste of my time, nor was it nonsense to me, unlike what was said in the first reply.
We all know Biohazard did this cover a long time ago, but it's the first time I see it in a video.

while I agree this isn't exactly news, Im glad it was posted, otherwise I probably never would have seen it. Maybe this site needs a remodel. Sorta like fatwreck.com, maybe? Have a section for actual news, and a daily updated section with not-quite-news stories? Just a thought.

Well, I'm glad there are a few people willing to discuss this in a constructive tone. Lexy, I understand your position. I know that substantive news is hard to come by. I don't agree, however, that it should be replaced by trite, non-news items, that are simply meant to to distract us until something real comes along. I understand some people like these distractions. That's fine. But, calling them "Bad Religion News" is a flat-out lie. They have absolutely nothing to do with the band and, thus, are not Bad Religion news. Period. I actually don't have a problem with these items, in and of themselves. My problem is with the presentation. If these items were in a section called "Covers", there would be no issue. I also realize that many people think it's silly to argue over this small distinction (they may be right), but it is the PRINCIPLE behind the argument that is important. Sadly, many people can't apply broad principles to specific occurrences. I respect your opinion, though.

Boltzzman and pwise, I think what Tommy was trying to say is that Bad Religion are not (let's face it) the biggest band on the planet, and so, there will be periods of no "real" news, thus leaving only anecdotal or trivial items which hardcore fans of the band may enjoy.
I dislike re-posts of news that was up three months ago just as much as you guys, but as a fan I am happy to have a good-quality live video of a big band covering Bad Religion made known to me (despite knowing they already covered it a loooong time ago)
I mean, to be fair, how much "real" news do we get, other than album releases and interviews? I myself quite like being able to find mildly diverting stories about my favourite band cropping up most days, even if their value as news is questionable...

That is the dumbest piece of crap I've read so far. So just because Bad Religion isn't as popular as the aforementioned bands, we shouldn't expect real or important news, but instead fill this site with piece of crap news? Wow.

I wasn't talking about YOU doing nothing. You were telling ME to ignore it and, thus, do nothing. So yes, you DID tell me to not voice my opinions. I notice you don't usually read (critically) what others post. It's pretty sad, though, when you can't even remember (or re-read) what you've posted yourself!
In case you haven't noticed, I don't make critical comments about the posts you (or anyone else) make that actually pertain to Bad Religion. It's only these non-news items (which we all agree aren't news) that I comment on. I DON'T want you to shut-up. Sometimes you come up with some good stuff. However, you don't need to submit everything you find floating around on YouTube as news. To quote Bad Religion:
"Quality or quantity, a choice you have to make."

You try to do shit for people, and all they can do is bitch. Look at this asshole, seriously:
"It's better to remain silent than to voice your opinion. That's fantastic! If we all do what is easiest than everything will turn out right. Everyone should take a page from the book of Neil and do absolutely nothing."
I'm not doing absolutely nothing. I'm contributing to this site. You're the one who doesn't contribute shit. Seriously. Aside from that, I NEVER told you not to voice your opinions. However, it seems a lot like you want ME to shut up. I don't post the news, I only submit it. Obviously the people who run this site think it's news worthy. I'm sure they'll give a fuck what you think once you TRY to do something to help the site.

What I still can't figure out is why a piece of """""news""""" like this, as it were, gets priority over Jay's post on this same site with the latest news on BR's plans for the forthcoming months. Bear in mind that not all visitors bother to waste their time scrolling down and reading all our non-sense about whether something posted is news or not, so many ppl might have missed out on Jay's words.

Man, this is getting silly. Why even bother to fight about such a ridicilous thing? C'mon, people posting BR related videoclips in the news section, is that really worth your time to complain about? If you don't like it, fine... Don't then. But it would probably be much easier to just ignore it.
It's one thing to voice your opinion about important issues, another thing to be a cry baby and a jackass about video clips in the news section.

This is the response I expected from you. Thank goodness you take the time to do a 2 second search on Youtube and submit your "findings" as news. For someone who is basically telling me to get a life...you need to look in the mirror.

While this is a pretty good cover, not only is this not really news...it's old (not really) news. Biohazard originally covered this song 14 years ago folks. I know this video isn't that old, but come on. Neil, if your going to waste your own (and everyone else's) time with this nonsense, at least find something that the entire world hasn't already known about for a decade and a half!
