I like it! I predict the album will sound like a mix of Process of Belief and Stranger than Fiction (the chorus reminds me of News on the Front for some reason)

"is it just me or is this song really short?"
No shorter than some of the songs on Process of Belief and The Empires Strikes First. "Prove It", "can't Stop It", "Social Suicide" were all around the same length.

I'm baffled by all this criticism that some people manage to dish out.
This sounds great, and yes, it doesn't sound like anything they've done before. But then again, what's the point releasing albums if they all sound exactly the same?
Bad Religion have always produced great music and as long as they don't start doing pop music or any of the other shit that fills the charts these days I'll keep buying their cds and going to their concerts.

It`s always awesome to see you guys post in here!
There are rumors about this record being your last one. Is that true?
I hope it isn`t...thinking about an end makes me cry!

These are the correct lyrics.
Heroes & Martyrs
Amid the heat and the wrack
Hot boots invested and cracked
Poor candidates jacked into gray light
An ultraviolent call summoning both poet and thrall
Sweet catalyst for the acolytes
Our Heroes and Martyrs
present two points of view
Which deity you're praying to What's the sense of heroes & martyrs?
Into a welter of night
Flack, rounds and roiling blight
Cracked vertebrates stacked by the wayside
An ultraviolent call summoning both poet and thrall
The inveterate blind seeking daylight
Our Heroes and Martyrs
present two points of view
Which deity you're praying to What's the sense of heroes & martyrs?

Ana: you are absolutely right, we did a mistake here. we thought they are the same festivals, we mixed it up cause of time zone difference or epitaph, we took it from the epitaph page, so actually, blame epitaph ;-). the whole show is the Quelmes Rock Festival in Argentina, Buenos Aires. The other festival was before that in Chile, if i am not mistaken. sorry for that guys. Just rename the info if you want once you got it. Or if someone is gonna host the files, you could change all the VIVE stuff to the right name. sorry again.

delirium-: no lossless version available. the original stream was a poor 22kbits asf stream, the interview is a direct copy of it i think. we recorded it directly to mp3 128kbs, dont expect any quality loss by that, if anything at all, than 128kbs is probably a little too much for that poor source. but i dont know if it was broadcasted on tv or on a better radio station, there might be coming better quality versions.

Amid the heat and the wrack
Hot boots invested and cracked
The candidates jacked into daylight
An ultraviolent call
Summoning both poet and thrall
Proclaiming it for the acolyte
Our heroes and martyrs
(I hear the heroes and martyrs)
Present two points of view
(Tell me)
Which deity you're prayin' to
(What's the sense of heroes and martyrs?)
Up on the environmental waste site
What made a man out of a kid?
Probably a childhood gray side
An ultraviolent call
Summoning both poet and thrall
Proclaiming it for the acolyte
Our heroes and martyrs
(I hear the heroes and martyrs)
Present two points of view
(Tell me)
Which deity you're prayin' to

here is the rest of the concert, but we missed the first 9 songs and the beginning of 21st century digital boy, sorry about that, hopefully someone got the whole show. we included the backstage interview that was ripped by ribas(?). you might have to wait 20 minutes after each download, feel free to host the files at a better place. enjoy (and again, remove the blank spaces): http://rapidshare.com/files/25753977/ Bad_Religion_-_Vive_Latino_Festival_2007__ Star_Wars_Team_.part1.rar.html

Amen the heat and the wreck
Our boots invested and cracked
The apparent mental pictures of daily life
An ultra-violent cross
A medieval poet of wrong
Who will carry this body of a killer?
Our heroes and martyrs present two points of view
Whoa which deity you?re praying to.
A mighty bottle worth a swack
What kind of man would attack
A mother and a child in prison?
An ultra-violent cross
A medieval poet of wrong
Who will carry this body of a killer?
Our heroes and martyrs present two points of view
Whoa which deity you?re praying to.

Meh, here;s what I've got after a couple of minutes of guessing:
I beat the heat in Iraq.
I put some ---- in Qur'an (?)
----- in the da--aylight.
An ultra violent ---- anthropoid ----
Our Heroes and Martyrs
Present two points of view, oh!
Which deity are you praying to?
----
----
---- ge----enocide.

Meh, here;s what I've got after a couple of minutes of guessing:
I beat the heat in Iraq. I put some ---- in Qur'an (?) ----- in the da--aylight. An ultra violent ---- anthropoid ---- Our Heroes and Martyrs Present two points of view, oh! Which deity are you praying to? ---- ---- ---- ge----enocide. An ultra violent ---- anthropoid ---- ---- Heroes And Martyrs. Thanks, ikillkenny, for contributing, it's giving me some clarity. |

first off, I'm pretty sure he said "Iraq" and not rack. Secondly, this is live, and it sounded like Graffin and the band was moving around a lot while playing. Understandably since it's a new song: if i played a new song id be more than nervous or excited or anxious.

I love it! It sounds a little different, yet maintains what makes Bad Religion so great. If this is any indication, this will be an incredible album.

Verse 1:
Amid the heat and the rack??
Our boots invested??? and cracked
????? the daylight
An ultraviolet across the medieval poet of wrong
What kind of ???
Everybody
carry ???
Chorus:
Our heroes and martyrs
Present two points of view
What deity are they prarying to?
Verse 2:
1:
2: What kind of man or ???
3: Mother or child
An ultraviolet across the medieval poet of wrong
What kind of ???
Chorus

Is it just me, or does this song just sound twisted? Just listen to Graffins singing! And the chords... I really don't know what to think yet. Except for the refrain it sounds very not Bad Religionish to me. Looking forward to hear the studio version though.

As I said in the last news item:
Can someone try and figure out the lyrics to the song from the radio rip that star wars team posted? I've already got the instruments all figured out and the lyrics would be GREATLY appreciated (I am trying to figure them out, though I've just started).
