I think I mentioned in another post that I don't particularly like Follow The Leader, also I'm not that impressed by the chorus to It's Reciprocal and I think The Dichotomy is the worst song on ITU.

Television.

I can't stand Kyoto Now! both musically and lyrically. For a song with a title about a specific subject, the lyrics are chocked-full of metaphors and vague allusions.

I actually really like "Long Way to the Promised Land". I don't really know why, but I have a real soft spot for it.

I really do like I love my computer though. the princess/whore line is so great. Let it burn is definitely my vote for worst ever recorded by BR. Why is that song so cheesy and positive and optimistic. Whats up with that. Actually that whole album is like that. Probably why it didn't sit well w/so many people. I think BR is ultimately a possitive band, and has a good message...definetly not a downer band. But the "we can change the world" attitude thats latent in that album is a bit much for me.

Let It Burn is probably the worst BR song in my view. Mediocre Minds and It's A Long Way To The Promise Land are somewhat crappy too.

There's nothing wrong people not liking certain songs, just as long as they don't try to get people to think the same as them. That's almost as bad as preaching religion.

Personally, I like all Bad Religion's songs. They are the only band like this for me... I don't know why. I can listen to Bad Religion all day long, singing each word and never get tired. :)

'New America' is one of my fave BR songs, and 'I Love My Computer' is awesome too! the lyrics 'you can be my princess, or you can my whore' are so great! I really like that song!
The only ones I skip are Keroscene, It's Reciprical, Hippy Killers and Biggest Killer...

Honest Goodbye, let it burn, and queen of the 21st century are the only songs I really can't stand from BR. Two Babies in the Dark took me a while to get into, but I really loved it after a while. Weird thing is, I can sing along to every word of every one of these songs! Also actually TO ANOTHER ABYSS. I love it for the vulnarability and the fact that BR really stepped out of their comfort zone, and I love Greg's voice overall...one of my faves ever. But his vocals in that song just don't do it for me at all.

Not really related to this, but kinda is. Does anyone have any BR songs that they cannot stand? They seem to be the only band I listen to that I like all of the songs, and don't hate any of them(at least that I can think of)

I love Into The Unknown, one of my favourite albums ever.
There's not a bad song on it.

i would like to add that Billy Gnosis is a horrible song, it really sticks out as a putrid one on that record. so don't judge it by that one song.
recommened listens: It's Only Over When..., Chasing The Wild Goose, Time And Disregard (longest Bad Religion song to date), Losing Generaton, ...You Give Up.

i have the Into The Unknown LP, and I like half of it pretty damn much, while the rest is very much meh and mediocre.
the good songs are definitely worth a listen on its own merit. when you listen to Into The Unknown, don't bother comparing it to the other records, because it's virtually by a completely different band. this is their take on synthy 80s pop rock, and it's a damn fine one. greg's voice is awesome as usual.
Into The Unknown is great for what it is: something completely different.

I would love a rerelease. Can't wait for new maps either. Gonna be an awesome summer!

As much as I enjoy ITU for what it is, any work put into this might prolong the time it takes to produce new material. We had to wait three years for New Maps... I don't want to wait six years for the next one... unless its so friggin' awesome the earth explodes.

This is a good album......but I like every BR album- Greg's voice is what does it for me....so Into The Unknown is no exception. My favorite songs are "...You Give Up" and "Chasing The Wild Goose"

the mars voles demonstrated that ITU is a great punk album waiting to be re-discovered; I would love if BR re-released it, but it wold be awesome if they decided to re-work the album into more of a punk sound; I absolutely think that if they redid ITU now, much in the style of TESF (specifically Beyond Electric Dreams), they would have an awesome ep or bonus album for the fans.
or hell, a simple re-release with minor remastering would be awesome, whatever they are comfortable with. It just would be a shame not to re-release it since it's a vital part of BR's history (i.e. would we have gotten Suffer, no Control and Against The Grain without Into the unknown taking place beforehand? Possibly, possibly not...)

ITU is an enigma for sure, it is a great record...but putting it out under the Bad Religion name (especially since it was only 1/2 the original band) might have been a mistake. Either way it makes for a hell of a story and rarity!

Into the Unknown is a different album of Br. No punk rock at all... Just rock of first '80 but they have somes good songs in. Take the time to appreciate the style... and everybody can say what they want even blasted BRs... Its all about democratry and free expression. Anyway, the "normal law" of saying "shit" is everywhere, even in BR personality's fan.

While Into the Unknown wasn't true to the aggressive raw sound of their original feeling, it wasn't awful... it was a little too synthesized maybe, but the lyrics were good, save for that song about vegetarianism... what was hat one called again?

Damn, I'm probably one of the only people in here who thinks Into the Unknown is crap. It sounds like boring 70s progressive rock. If you buy a Styx album you could probably get the same sound. I downloaded the entire album on some shady looking website, but I forgot what it's called. If I find it, I'll post it up on here.
