"Flac is from direct tape to PC into soundforge. Original source is unknown, guessing its a walkman as the medium I got it on is cassette.
Original file had to be lowered on input to avoid cutting the beginnings top off (if you view this in any audio editing program you will see what I mean.)
I editied nothing on the original file except for duplicating channels for stereo, original source was mono.
My edit uses noise reduction filter and noise gate to remove loud annoying hiss, this sacrifices clairty for less hiss, to me its well worth it (hiss is GONE in my version).
My edit also has increased volume, and due to this the start does have missing data but its not as noticable as there is no music during this time.
I could have increased the volume more but this causes massive distortion in the beginning(-2.5 shoved up but clears at 1min20sec).
I have NOT used any sort of EQ during this.. my only goal was to remove the hiss and raise the volume without losing as much of the signal as possible.

friday night's show was awesome. i think it's the best ive seen them on this tour.
in terms of setlists: my girlfriend was lucky enought to get it from the soundboard from friday night. it lists our new favorite acoustic track as "bored and xtreme". i wonder if this has anything to do with the odious culture of the oc. hmm.. i'm going to try to see them one more time in april. |

I have one of the setlists, it says
"bored and extremely clammy" Hehe im not quite sure what that means..ventura is near the ocean...but it could mean moist hands or something. This bored version was quite bad at ventura vs HOB due to the lighting being far better in HOB, ill show you when I get the anaheim "bored" clip I got of yet another vip guest. Psstt ventura show suckedededed! dont shoot!!! |

Wow. That sounds like some of the free shows we get at the student center at UCI. A lot of the time, no one really notices or cares, but I find them to be a nice break from studying and just listening to new music. I didn't know actual, well in comparison to some of the people we've gotten, well-known people actually played gigs like that. That's so awesome! Thanks for the recording, Kal and Clive, since you're the one who taped it. |

if you dont know about flac just get flac frontend for PC, its free and quick. Sorry, I suppose I could have done ogg,(think its playable in vlc in later versions, used to be super slow on the seek) |

Woah! haha ive been in Anaheim and Ventura for a few days and come back to an awesome post :P
Tommy: good idea :P ill give it a try.. or you could! Its why I uploaded lossless, I didnt edit very long as I was very excited and just wanted this out in a more, enjoyable way. (this is also why the mp3 wasnt cut into songs, just wanted to push it(some like no cuts).. im one of those people. Thanks to all for your awesome replies! Mhole.. lemme know if you still have problems with that mpeg.. I too got a few clips from random people, lucky sods I have setlists for the 21st 22nd shows, let me say both HOB and Ventura theater SUCK as clubs, Ventura is just straight ex con rude jerks with serious god complexes, HOB are uptight snobs who think im trying to get something for free or make money off them somehow. Staff is friggen awesome at anaheim HOB though. If anyone has any questions email me video,audio,info... what I can divulge I will. Ciao for now Kal~ |

Whoa, this is my recording, no kidding. Thanks for uploading, editing, and sharing it with everyone, Kal. I can't upload tapes onto my comp, so this is great. You're probably the only person I traded this show with. I'd also made copies for 3 of my friends. I borrowed my friend's walkman to record this and just had it on my lap, maybe 20 feet from the stage. I didn't go to CSUN and had only heard about this show b/c I was handed a flier while standing in line for tickets to the No Substance record release (literally sold out 2 people in front of me). BTW, this was a lunchtime show at the school's pub. There weren't that many people here specifically for Graffin - maybe 20?

I recorded video of delerium of disorder and Bored and Extremely dangerous last night using the .mpeg feature on my digital camera They are both 100+ Megs... if someone can tell me what to do, or wants to take them and clean up the audio a bit, email me... i'm assuming I need to compress them before I could even email em?

I almost forgot, but why don't you use an effect like "hard limiting"? that way you can choose to only amplify the low volumes. |
