Also: This won't be their last album; it looks more like a pent-ultimate or the 2nd in a new trilogy (Dissent of Man being the first).
Everyone who has been to the future knows that their last album will be a double folk album w/ jazz covers of Generator, and Simon & Garfunkel covers on a third disc.
here we go again.. time to freeze myself down until the album drops. it's unbearable to wait for new BR releases.
This is exactly why I eventually had to cease all BR fan activity for a while, haha. Well, that & real life.
I haven't heard a single bit of any of the new songs being previewed, thankfully. 2013 resolution is listen to a new BR album without expectations / hopes.
I still have my fan-edit of Dissent of Man w/ Turn Your back on me & This is where the fun taken off & the tracklist slightly re-ordered to remind me of my resolve.
Oddly enough, even slightly tweaked I think I enjoy TDOM more than NMOH or TESF, now, however.

At their last show in Quebec, they've mentioned that they just finished recording the album and that it would come out early 2013.

The Dissent of Man is their last album. This new album is just a prank they are playing on all of us. They'll continue to lead us on until the release day when we'll find that the "new songs" on the album are really just a recording of them announcing the break up of the band followed by 30 minutes of them laughing hysterically.
Interesting... I hadn't considered that possibility! My follow-up questions: would they be touring this prank album and, more importantly, if so, would Brett be there laughing hysterically too? Would it be a Generator scream-kind of hysterical laugh?
PS: I think MONOLITH would still be ordering two copies of that.
Yes, there will be a tour. The shows will start with Brian playing the opening riffs to Recipe for Hate, and right when it's about to kick into full swing, green slime will drop onto the audience from the ceiling, nickalodian-style. The band will then point and laugh at the audience for a long time. Right as everyone is about to leave they'll say "no, no, no. This time we'll start playing for real," then, of course, they'll yell out "psych!" after playing for only a few seconds and go back to pointing at the audience and laughing. They'll continue this cycle until everyone in the audience has left angry. All of this has been confirmed by several inside sources*
* "Several inside sources" does not refer to several different people who are close to the band, but a single person**, of no particular significance, who goes by the alias "several inside sources."
** This person may or may not be me.***
*** It's me.

What if they took a cue from The Toy Dolls and actually called the new record "Our Last Album?" but without the question mark? Would you guys believe them then?
