This record's kind of boring and la's burning is the gayest song i've ever heard before.

You know what's cool in their "Thank You" section?
|
They thanked In-n-Out burger. Everyone in California, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico should know what In-n-Out Burger is and how good it is. It appears the band enjoys their bugers animal style (my personal favorite as well) while Brett enjoys the protein style. I just thought it was awesome how they mention the place.

here. lets make that make sense:
dude, why would somebody call communists liberal? maybe the concept of communism is, but not the way it is currently used. those definitions do still hold. Left does mean liberal. what you're not understanding is that, like in the US, your politicians say they're liberal or conservative, but they're wrong and/or lying. Tipper Gore thinks she's a liberal over here. That's ridiculous. Liberal and left-wing are just abstract terms for a way of thinking, since they aren't physical objects at all, so therefore the definition cannot change, because nothing can change an abstract/intangible concept.

Yeah, I know. But those are old definitions that aren't followed anymore. For example, do you call communists liberal? I don't.

Hehe, I hope that was ironic? Otherwise you're just what BR is against...
.
If BR does something radically new, they'll get all those "sell out" screaming against them, and now when they keep somewhat to the formula, they get bad critisism for that... It's a loss-loss situation...
.
For everyone: liberal does NOT equal left wing! Liberal doesn't fit into the left-right spectrum. To take an example, in Sweden our 3rd most right party is called the Peoples' liberals, and the most right wing, are conservative-liberals, and you heard me right!

BR is great. If you don't agree then you are an idiot, or you haven't really listened to the songs. Shut up, I'm right dammit.

if BR would change their style and would play "something new" they would propably play music which i don't want to listen to. i am very happy that they keep making songs of which others say that they sound exactly the same as every other song they ever released!
thanks!

Grillo-
Yes, Bad Religion is quite liberal. It's stupid that someone THINKS they are just "winging" it. I don't like some fans who think just because they don't agree what you think doesn't mean they are completlely on the other side of the political spectrum.

This is what I hate about punk reviews. You get comments that hate the idea that BR does not do something new. Then you get the other crowd who hate the idea of trying something new.
It's a damned if you do and damned if you don't.

In my honest opinion,I'm not really a fan of this new album. Not that I think the band is shite in the least it's just that I feel this record is way over the top in production (too many ahhs and sound affects, guest appearences, and sorry if this offends anybody but some of the songs aren't as stellar as everyone thinks)
Everyone acts like this is new sound of Bad Religion but if you think about it they've really been using this formula pretty much since ATG and so on.
REmember folks it's just my opinion that's all.

Sorry for my third comment in a row, but this really made me laugh my ass off... "why do people keep reviewing bands that no one has ever heard of?"
But I can't deny something died in me when I read that...

And this quote made me mad: "The man is no longer in the radical left, and was probably never to begin with. He just thinks he still is"
Do they have the right to label where Greg is on the political scale? I've never seen BR as a right-left band, but rather a conciousmaking band, no matter if what they critisise is right, left, or both/nothing.
Right-left politics are stupid anyway, too many good ideas are destroyed by ideological differences. I'll stick to realpolitik!

"Bad Religion should have called it quits a LONG,LONG,LONG time ago and with this new release it's just the same old song and dance we've been hearing for the last 20 something years.
Boring!!!!!!"
Heh... Yeah, right! Has he ever listened to BR? And the one guy who thought that Sinister rouge was "just stupid"... OK, it's opinions, but you can't honestly say that every BR song EVER sound the same...
This in no fanboy comment, just pure facts.

Wow. Good album. Different, but good. Although not in typical BR style, "To Another Abyss" really rocks, even though the end of the chorus sounds a bit like epiphany! Did anyone else think that?

I don't think this album is the second coming of Christ like many of you do here but it's not bad nor great in the least it's just another Bad Religion record.Maybe I've just outgrown this band already.

the review was good , one of the best i?ve read. But the comments below just pissed me off, here?s for example what a fellow said there:
??...but going on about how great BR is today is like talking about how much you like Creed or Britney or any other formulaic, passionless, audio dookie``
