Graffin is the athiest. Brett and Baker are the agnostics. I don't get how anyone could say that Brian is a believer when he says he is agnostic in the article. Hetson and Jay are believers. Brooks...who knows? Brett says he's Jewish because he is of Jewish descent. Many believe being Jewish is a seperate race, and it is definately a different culture.

Also, you don't have to be a believer just because you don't have anything against organized religions.
I couldn't care less though :)
I also think it's strange that Brett calls himself a jew when he isn't practising though, in that case, I'd call myself a christian, cause I'm still a member of the Swedish protestant church. I don't however, because I'm not practisising.

greg,
everyone in the band has individual feelings about religion, we have no
unified agenda. that being said, each member must speak on their own behalf
reguarding their beliefs. i will tell you mine;
i believe in a god, a central force of all that is. i believe in faith, as
long as it is not selfish or self serving.
i believe everyone has a right to their own beliefs, as long as those
beliefs do not lead to destruction of any kind.
as far as anyone listening to our music, it is out there for all to hear, or
ignore. like any other art is is subjective and open to interpretation.
jb
p.s. yes that was me on the m.b., thanks for the offer.

I emailed Jay a few years back and he said he was a believer I think. I will try to see if I still have it, maybe I will post it

i think we could agree what graffin is. but in the article, brian is talking about that he has nothing against religion as his wife is catholic. Jay has been wearing a necklace with a cross during the spring/summer. in the no substance booklet it says something about hetson and baptism. brett is a jew and why would he say that he is a jew if he didnt belive? i dont call myself christian just because i was baptized when a was a baby. i have never heard brooks talk about religion. does anyone know who's what for sure?

We all know Graffin's the atheist and Brett is the agnostic. I'd agree with Mike, that Hetson and Brooks are possibly the believers. Not sure where the hell Brian and Jay stand but I could've sworn I'd seen Jay wearing the cross in a Warped Tour fan photo. He's also said he has nothing against organized religion. Hmmmm.....would Jay be a believer too?

i like this one:
OCB: What is the band's take on religion?
B.B.: It varies from band member to band member. There's an atheist, there's a couple of agnostics, and
there's a couple of believers.
the atheist: Graffin. Agnostics: Hetson and Baker? Belivers: Brett, Jay??
