Well, the main reason is the venue. BR usually plays either Roseland or possibly Irving Plaza when coming into NYC. not too many people even knew how to get tickets for this show since it is thru ticketweb and not ticketmaster.

i am from ny and i'll tell you to make a blanket statement that punk in the u.s. has gotten to the level etc... is just untrue. br is massive in california and has always been a big underground band in the rest of the country. they really don't sell out until the day of the show that often in places other than california. in ny, the scene is either indie hipster or hip hop. br is unfashionable to most in nyc and they are not a critiques band nor are they a band the industry comes out for. theyre not a band in their prime either. but there are hardcore br fans there, but they are still what theyve always been there, a very big independent, club band. the punk scene in the u.s. is doing very very well.

this is just odd...ive been waiting all week for this show, a show that will be like my 6th or 7th time seeing BR, and rise aganst holds it down and are one of the best new bands out their...the fact that BR didnt (yet) sell out NYC is nothing short of a fuckin' shame. it is showing me that punk and hardcore in the states is gotten to a level where all the new kids comming in arent doing their homework or are just being shown the wrong bands of what people are calling punk and hardcore these days...i dunno...tomorrow im going to see my fav. band with a bunch of my good frineds...holla
