First off, I've seen Bad Religion over 20 times, but none of the shows were similar to this one. Perhaps it was becuase it was the final stop on a long tour? Perhaps it was because they were filming a live DVD? I really don't know, but something was definetley different. I noticed that Greg Graffin cursed more in a show (in between songs) than I ever heard combined. It wasn't necesarrily a bad thing, but just different. The crowd didn't seem to really care though. Everybody was just stocked that they were at the filming of Bad Religion's first ever DVD. With all that said it was a fucking awesome show. Rise Against was average, but the real treat was that TSOL also played. Like Bad Religion, those boys might be getting old, but they can sure crank out the fucking tunes. The height of their performance had to be their finale "code blue". It really was a beautiful thing hearing everyobdy yell out in unison "I want to fuck, I want to fuck the Dead". During this song, the whole venue seemed unified, which leads me to believe that Jack Grisham (frontman of TSOL) would have made a great governor, if he could have beaten out Arnold in the California recall. He finished 37th by the way, and was quoted as saying "Most of the people that see our band aren't allowed to vote," he explained, "'cause they're all felons!"

Sorry, I got a little side-tracked. I was lucky enough to snag some back stage passes for this show, so it was really sweet seeing the band just hang around with each other, and have a good time. They seemed giddy that that the tour was ending, and that they would get some time off. Brooks was really cool to hang out with, and everybody else seemed really nice. I didn't get to see Greg G. beforehand, but he tore it up during the show. I was suprised by how much of the newer stuff they played, but it was blended it by a balanced attack of some oth older stuff. The crowd really seemed to dig, the piano version of cease. I was really stocked they played "you", and kind of bummed they left out "I want to conquer the world", but all in all, an excellent show.
