Quote of the day: "We all care for you, we know how you suffer but I know you can succeed I used to have it so much rougher." - Drunk Sincerity

Another mind-blowing show in Hamburg

God that was good.
It was the 3rd show for me in that place (first time being 5 years ago), and I'd dare to say this was the best of the three. Sound was superb (and not too loud - you don't have that often), it was not as crammed in there as last time, when you couldn't move half of an inch, and they were playing a fantastic set with some surprises (see below). Still, missed No Control and You.
They started surprisingly early, shortly after the roadies were finished, the lights went off, and they started. No keeping the audience in suspense, just straight forward - cool.
Brian especially caught my attention, he really was in great shape and his solos were staggering - the end of Generator was the best I've heard for a long time.
Hetson still was being the most dynamic part of the band - always a joy to watch. I'm still amazed how he can play that well with his low-slung guitar.
As for the other three - well, no surprises, Brooks proved once again he's the best drummer I've ever seen, Graffin talked quite a lot (more of that, Greg!) and poor Jay had to perform that long break of Part III while Graffin held a speech. Jay's always fun to watch when he nonchalantly plays open strings, whilst lot of folks do that, only Jay manages to looks professional while doing so.
Thanks for this show!
