i remember this show quite well,i had travelled nearly 200 miles the previous year to see bad religion in london(generator tour).so when i heard they were playing in bradford, ten miles away, great stuff i thought.the london gig was a sell out,and the astoria holds 2000 people...it was a great gig.the bradford gig didnt go so well,a bad turnout was a bad start,it wasnt empty but it wasnt full either....hate to see good touring bands not playing to sell out crowds, saw it a few times being from up north of england.the so called punks who packed out shows to the likes of Discharge and MDC in the early eighties had all dissapeared as quickly has they had appeared....going back to listening to status quo and rolling stones, the clash album just gathering dust nowadays. anyway when bad religion started the gig (cant remember what track) but they sounded strange because all the instruments had been tuned for tracks off the recipe for hate album....sounded wierd indeed, but i still had a good night, not every night you get to see one of the best bands of all time.
