KROQ-FM, 106.7, is an FM-based radio station located in Los Angeles, CA, licensed in Pasedena, CA. Their music format is Modern Rock. They are owned by radio conglomerate CBS Radio. The band has enjoyed a good relationship with them throughout their history.
Bad Religion's original demo tape got played on Rodney Bingenheimer's Sunday night show "Rodney on the ROQ," when Greg Hetson brought the tape with him while The Circle Jerks were visiting the studio. This gave the band their very first opportunity to be heard by the Greater Los Angeles Area and give them a wider auidence.
KROQ has premiered many new Bad Religion songs over the years including: Infected, 21st Century (Digital Boy), A Walk, Sorrow, Los Angeles Is Burning, Heroes & Martyrs, The Devil In Stitches, and My Sanity.
Bad Religion has played KROQ's annual Christmas concert, KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas, six times: 1993, 1994, 2001, 2007, 2010, and 2018. The bands 1993 set was made into the 1995 German bootleg, Christmas Show. [1]
