Brett: "News From The Front is about AIDS, why aren't we doing more for AIDS sufferers in the U.S. The ones at the front are the AIDS victims."^[1]

The band voted it off the record but Brett wishes it had made it on because he likes it a lot. However, it was included in the Japanese, Australian, European, Russian and South American releases of Stranger than Fiction (album). It also appears on the promo copies of Infected and Incomplete.

Trivia

Brett wrote the song at the last minute. ^[2] He fittingly tweeted the lyrics during June of 2020 as the world was battling COVID-19 and protests were taking place around the world due to systemic racism/police brutality in the United States.
