Song meaning

Brett: "Two Babies in the dark was about my little sister and when she was pregnant and the two babies in the dark are my sister and her unborn baby. You could say that that's what inspired the song, the song took on a life of its own, it actually became a song about babies having babies and young girls having babies, they themselves or maybe a friend in the world that is not really prepared for adulthood themselves."^[1]

General

The song appears in the movie The Chase.

The band has made fun of the song on a couple of occasions -Brian said the only difference that Brett's departure would make is that BR wouldn't have songs with the word "babies" in the title.
