Bad Religion's forthcoming album was so far in its infancy when AP spoke to the band, not even guitarist Greg Hetson knew what to expect. "I've heard a couple songs from Greg [Graffin, singer]," Hetson says, "and Brett's [Gurewitz, guitarist] been writing, but I haven't heard anything from him yet." Graffin yielded more info on the as-yet-untitled follow-up to Process of Belief. "What we find ourselves in a world of right now is religious fundamentalism, which makes for a very good template or back-ground of which Bad Religion songs are very appropriate," Graffin says. "This time also corresponds to an active academic period in my life, and my Ph.D. dissertation had a lot to do with religion and the benefits of atheism. It's a very good time, and we're poised to make another classic, meaningful Bad Religion album."
