2 stars (out of 4).
Over the past 20 years, Bad Religion has settled into a formulaic existence-which is just fine for those who can’t get enough of the quartet’s mix of meaty melodies, punk-rock philosophizing and hard-core anima. Its latest (scheduled for release on Tuesday) has a few offbeat moments (notable the vaguely twangy, mellow “Whisper in Time”), but for the most part it’s business as usual, adept and methodical. The bad appears with Blink-182 next Friday at the Great Western Forum.
