Go to William Dembski's blog and he has a good explanation about the course and where the two scientists are coming from. search google for "Dembski MacNeill Cornell".
The course IS being offered as an open-minded forray into the intelligent design argument. However, both John Sanford and Allen MacNeill are prominent biologists. In fact, Sanford testified on the side of the IDers at the Kansas court trial. Allen MacNeill has been speaking with the IDEA club at Cornell and thats how this course sort of came about. In other words, Allen doesnt have a problem with offering an opposing argument.

one more thing, note that the prof teaches biology and evolution. Not an creationist advocate at all.

This course appears in no way to be advocating intelligent design, in fact it seems to not be. It is a course that discuses the impact of evolution, and as a part will obviously discuss creationism, and intelligent design (the two being nearly identical), and will leave it up to the students to draw their own conclusion, like any university program.

I don't think that since Greg's book is used a complementary in a evolutionary design means that he supports it. They use Darwin books also and he's far from supporting the idea of creationism...

Do you guys even know what intelligent design is? It's just creationism in disguise.
The fact that you would want Greg to teach it is an oxymoron.
