Thank you for the great interview, really good work. It'd be cool if it didn't sound like your voice was getting higher and higher all the time, but i'm just being ignorant I guess. Keep up the podcasts :D

this mike guy is great...I think a lot of us would suck more interviewing jay than he does. And it's a great show.

Ya know what Kenny, overall you did an amazing job and like I said 'I am grateful for the interview'. Talking on the phone can be wierd, especially when you're doing most of the listening. Good feedback from everyone so far. Keep up the good work

This is the first I've heard of the BR podcast, and I think it's great.
I think your intro at the very beginning of the podcast would be better if you just played music from one or two songs, instead of eight or nine.

Silence can be more awkward than a few too many Yeahs and Uhhuhs, no worries there.
Personally, I like it better when the interviewer just says Yeah a lot rather than feel the need to put words into the interviewee's (?:)) mouth. The interviewer should not be in charge of the interview that much, just guide it so that the interviewee gets to talk as much as possible.

Thanks for the comments guys. I realize that I come off as too "reading" during the regular segments of the podcast, I'm going to try to think about how I can fix that. I think it will probably help if I slow down some :)
As for the yeah / uh huh's, that's kind of a result of just being on the phone. I always feel that if you don't talk for a while the other person isn't really sure that you're still there. But yeah, they were kind of annoying. I was going to edit them out, but I didn't really have time to do that because I've had finals this week. If I do another interview I'll make sure to keep them to a minimum.

Hehehe I guess I'm not the only one who thinks his voice sounds strange on the podcast. Just talk normally, kenny, you seem to be trying to hard. It's even worse than black reporters sounding white! :)

I am totally amazed with his memory. I would never be able to remember 150+ whatever songs and 25 years.

to be honest i think ikillkenny handled it extremely well. sometimes adding questions himself based on what jay was currently talking about. what gets on my nerves is his voice on the podcasts. ikillkenny sounds normal on the phone recording, but it does a complete 360 on the regular show.

Very, very, very good interview! Great questions, and more importantly, great awnsers. In my opinion Jay is the most gracious member of band religion. My only complaint is ikillkenny. I know you must have been a little nervous bro, but how many "Yeah" "Uh-huh" "Yeah" "Uh-huh"'s do we have to hear. Am I the only one who noticed the akwardness? Either way, good job bro> I'm grateful for the interview

Jay should have been honest and asked "what the fuck is a new zealand?"
hell i never even heard of an old zealand.
that's like when you find out there's a 3rd Harry Potter movie when you didn't even know there was a second. It's like woah, wtf?

walkingscarlet: Yes, I realize that. I thought it was pretty well implied that the band wasn't going to be playing NZ shows if they weren't going to play Austrialian shows. You could always message Jay yourself if you feel that you did not get a satisfactory answer.

For the record in case neither ikillkenny or jay figured it out: Australia isn't New Zealand! Wasn't it great that he told Australia why they never made it there? But still the question of NZ got left out in the cold. Thanks. *middle finger goes right up*

You didn't sound nervous.
You just made a really funny sound when Jay said that they played Fertile Creasent a lot.
"Uhuhm".
lol.

What? To me you didn't even sound that much nervous, you did a really cool job. The only thing is Jay's laughter is really infectious, so one can't help laughing just hearing him laugh!
The episode, question and answers were great, some really good information surfaced
