Not that I know if this is any thing for the news, but hear i goes.
I was watshing a movie from 2005 just now named "Kids In America" it?s has bits of reall events woked in to the story.
Plot Outline: A diverse group of high school students band together to peacefully stick it to their overbearing principal.
Its about a school wher 3 students get expeld for realy bad reasons.
And in one scen wher one of the kids is siting in his room at home you can see that he has a lot of posters on the wall, and the one you see best throu the hole scean is a promo poster for Bad Religions "The Empire Strikes First"
and I found the movie to be rather good and intresstings, I think thay mixed the comedy part whery well with the more importent mesage that the movie trys to send out.
And if I dont remember it totaly wrong I read somewher about a kid how e-mailed Greg Graffin after being throun out of school just for whering a Bad Religion T-Shirt.
Hears a link to the IMDB site about the movie.
As I sead mayby not really news but I just whanted to get it out ther.

Yeah right, a BR song in Lizzy Mcguire, that's awesome, get young teenage girls listening to some punkrock instead of Paris Hilton definetely a good thing

If you look back at the old Bad Times newsletters they sent out yearly there are some letters from kids who got in trouble at school for wearing BR shirts and Greg G. writes 'em back in the newsletter. I don't know how involved any of the guys actually got, but you could probablu figure it out from reading the old newsletters.
And english is actually taught in most years of swedish schooling. American kids don't learn swedish from 3rd grade on. And a cover of the song "Portrait of Authority" is played during an episode of Lizzie McGuire. |

I mean it's not the most interesting news but don't slag the guy for his english, and btw I think the coolest thing is in Gilmore Girls they mentioned BR, and I think in real life the main character is a BR fan but I'm not too 100% sure.

Just be glad it wasn't written in Swedish. Maybe in your perfect little dream world everybody speaks perfect english, but when you snap out of it you might notice there happen to live people on this planet who have other native languages...

Also, in a show called Drake and Josh, at the cinema in one episode, it says that a film called The Empire Strikes First is gonna be played, but I think that was just a coincidence. |
