That's not really complaining about it. More saying that Greg wrote pretty much of the songs by himself. It was a point against releasing American Lseion under his name since Greg would have had a reason for that.

Greg Graffin's other solo albums? NS and such? Actually Brian Baker & Greg Hetson co-wrote a lot of those songs

Don't wanna spoil your fun, but I don't see anyone complaining about TGR, NS and/or TNA here.

for everyone who complains about the 3 albums greg wrote on his own(brian helped on some) what if greg had left and brett had stayed? what do you think would have happened then?

Greg might also re-release under his name his other solo albums: The Gray Race, No Substance and The New America. Yeah, I know he's backed by a band called Bad Religion on those... like the Weakerthans on CATC, right?

I had American Lesion imported from the US... it wasn't released locally. I love both AL and CATC. CATC is definitely more infectious... the more you listen to it, the more you like it. Whereas AL, had a few stand out tracks. I loved the version of Cease on there. Wouldn't it be awesome if they did a BR acoustic/unplugged CD? But, there's just so many great tracks... it'd have to be a double CD at least!
BTW, I think AL was released on Greg's own label and Atlantic was merely used as a distributor (I could be wrong). Mine's got a W etched into the back cover, so looks like Warner's got a stake in it too.
I wish they'd get the rights for the videos from Sony though and release them ALL on DVD... 21st Century (Digital Boy) is what got me hooked on Bad Religion!
Please, please, please tour Australia again... even if its just Greg doing his stuff. The guys have only been here once... that was for the Gray Race Tour back in 1996.
Cheers!

I got it not too long ago at a friend's shop along with a CATC promo for six bucks. One of my greatest acquisitions. It's great living in a town of Brads and Chads who don't know what good music is.

I was thinking since the reception of CATC was so positive Greg might re-release it under his name, so they seem more like a set of solo albums, and more people will be aware of it. Just a thought.

Jau, that would be an awesome idea...maybe with some live footage of the shows he performed these past few months!
As for AL, I was lucky enough to stumble across a copy in a store about six, seven years ago in the BR section. I was just getting into BR back then and hardly knew what AL was, but bought it anyway. Very glad that I did

Why would it be under Greg's name? He chose not to release it before.

I guess we know now why Greg didn't talk about it in any Cold as the Clay interviews. No use telling new fans about it if they can't get it.
I own a copy already but I'm excited for an Epitaph release. I'd imagine it would be under Greg's name this time, hopefully with some extra features of some sort.

I just checked and American Lesion is still on iTunes. As American Lesion. For $9.90. Not too shabby.

I highly doubt Sony is not going to let them. On that note I say Cold as Clay and American Leasion be released together with a dvd of behind the making stuff or bonus material from both or one of the albums.

People like me ;P I'm still waiting for a Atlantic AL.
Chaviro, Greg isn't listed as the artist because the name as well as the title are both American Lesion.

Cold As the Clay >>>>>> American Lesion
And still completists or sick collectors will probably go for both editions of AL (Atlantic and Epitaph). Hopefully the Epi one will come out with a bonus track or something (acoustic versions of God Song, Dream of Unity or something?)

It goes for 40 bucks on ebay!!!!
I am not kidding... I was looking for it, and could not find it ANYWHERE... I serached on iTunes, with no luck... UNTIL... I searched for American lesion and NOT greg graffin... apparently on iTunes, greg isn't listed as the artist... weird... but ultimately I did get it... ALSO, I didn;t get it, when it first came out out, and EVERYONE told me it SUCKED... now after COLD as Clay, EVERYONE says it RULES... WEIRD!
After listening to both, I clearly like A. Lesion much better...
Still waiting for American Lesion 2!

Great! I like American Lesion far more than Cold as the Clay. What would be very nice is if the horns were re-recorded with real musicians.
