New Bad Religion MySpace Bulletin:

hello and welcome to 2007... (see previous holiday bulletin if your calendar is different).
just thought i'd let everyone know what's happening this year.
brooks is heading down to australia with tenacious d this month, and brian, hetson and myself are heading to vegas for the punk rock bowling tournament. greg and brett are busily putting on the final touches to their songs and as soon as brooks gets back we're heading to cleveland, ohio to play with paramore, pennywise and the bouncing souls at the warped tours' induction into the rock and roll hall of fame...
after that we're going to start working on the new record in february, recording in hollywood. graffin will be teaching this semester at ucla, so he'll be boucing back and forth between the studio and the classroom... but we'll kidnap him for the summer when we go out on the warped tour... and yes, we are doing the entire tour.
after that, we will probably start planning another tour for the fall.. but that's speculative and i want to keep this a fact based exercise... we'll keep adding more information about showdates and stuff as soon as we confirm them. should have the cities for the warped tour up soon.
i would like to say how genuniely appreciative we are of all the notes you send. it's really humbling to be given the opportunity to do all these things, so thank you...

There's nothing wrong in relationship/love/hate- songs, as long they are not done in : "i love my girl/ she dumped me/ now i suffer/ and i will surely kill" fashion.

Thank god for BR's lyrics. Their almost consistently writing makes them more credible than most bands.

A lot of br songs deal with relations and stuff, but not whole songs. just a couple of lines. like bored and extremely dangerous. "with nothing better to do, no one to come home to". and "to take it out on you" But it's about what you WANT to hear, and your brain will 'translate"it. :S hmm forgot my point

Well it actually does get quite repetitive. But not boring. Take God's Love for example. They've written that song several times really. It just happens to be better every time. Thats whats great about BR. They are as repetitive as any other punk band, but manage to recreate themselves each album by showing how much more brilliant they've become.

(no offense...HAHAHA!!!!) yeah, but the socio-political topics are never boring or repetitive in any way! it doesnt matter what the hell the album is about, as long as this one kicks ass just like ALL the other ones, i dont care what the subject matter is, and chances are you wont either.

I predict within the next 5 years Bad Religion will have some unexpected mainstream success. It seems to me that kids these days are yearning for music with deeper meaning. Kids are online and spending many hours a day reading and communicating with words on the screen. Discourse is changing.

I hope the new album will have some stuff about broken relationships and people you've lost or died. Like the new america. Coz I just broke up with my girlfriend and I'm listening now to "1000 memories". I don't want to hear songs that deal with global warming or too much political crap.

This new album will be just like the others. I'll get it and it'll sound funny at first. I will declare that Bad Religion is finally finished. Then after about three days, I'll realize that it's fucking amazing. Keep up the great work, guys!

Hmm he doesn't mention any specific dates about the album... Though if they are doing Warped Tour and a possible tour in autumn then they must have the album out by autumn I would assume. No point launching a tour with a half-finished album sitting around at the studio, surely?

man, sucks that they're doing warped. you have to suffer through dozens of shit bands to eventually watch BR do 7 songs. and since the schedule changes every day, you can't plan it to get there right when they go onstage.
