I think the song sounds pretty good, like a good blend between the old and the new. Also anyone notice the set list basically goes in order from old to new? and to Nik from UK "It's Anaesthesia in England. It's only spelt Anesthesia by a country who ruins the English language " That's what we do here in America...you're welcome!

Last year it was some people losing their shit when they heard TESF early and thought it was "crap", this year it's some people hearing a horrible recorded (sound wise) live video of a new song which they bearly can hear and thinking NMOH is going to be crap.
I'm really glad the internet didn't exist/wasn't popular when Generator and Recipe For Hate came out.

Tried to clean up the audio a bit...dunno how well it worked, but my version is definitely more quiet with less background noise..not to mention portable. So download it here: www.hungryniners.com/ ps3/ Bad_Religion-Heroes_and_Martyrs.mp3
(delete spaces before and after the slashes by ps3)

If you watch the Palladium DVD, there is one in the crowd who really sticks out, because everytime he's in the shot, he's singing the lyrics, correctly. I think he's being interviewed in the beginning as well. He is the only one worth watching, except for that family dad who brings his daughters, that is fucking awesome. What a great dad. While most others are moshing themselves or even making out with some broad. (I swear, I saw someone freaking making out on that DVD!)

Yeah Steve, it's nothing better than singing along to every song, and once Greg notices you singing upfront, he'll often start "conversing" with you and you start gesticulating to eachother. That happened to me, as I'm sure I was the only one up front who knew every single damn word to every song. He noticed pretty quickly that I knew all the songs in and out, even every subtle vocal differences between the album and live versions, and the BGVS. It's awesome. You don't get that with any other band, because nothing can match Bad Religion lyrically. Everyone knows and can remember Metallica lyrics, almost no one knows or remember the most of bad religion's catalogue.

I love the sound of "Heroes and Martyrs." It brings me back to when I first heard TPOB and its first three punching, fast-paced Punk Rock tracks.

Justin: Spot on about the sorrow fucks. At every bad religion show a bunch of jocks show up doing the "metal sign and headbanging" while singing Sorrow because they heard it on MTV 5 years ago, and that's all the bad religion they know and could ever care about. It fucking sucks.
Neil Davis: that's because the songs after the line is for encores, and encores are in most cases the most popular songs.

At the show, I was thinking about the people who regularly visit this site and how much it sucks that a bunch of douche bags that only now sorrow got to hear this song live before anyone else, oh well. Did any one notice that it seems Greg forgets most of the second verse and just stands there with his arms out?

Whoa! This is what they talked about earlier. They kick off with a song from the very first EP and ends with a new song + Sorrow.

Song seems excellent... now all BR has to do is release the studio version or send out another live cut with better quality. I, at least, would hope so.

Fast paced and although the quality is poor, it sounds good. Reminds me a bit of Anaesthesia in a way.
