Atomic-garden is right! If BR makes another album after New Maps Of Hell, then it will be like Into the Unknown. That would be cool!

I'm thinking that the "end of the cycle" just means a return to the past before a new cycle starts. I'm not too worried.

I don't think they're stopping anytime soon. Hasn't Greg recently said that he will keep it going as long as there is a demand for it? What have the others said recently? I'm thinking that the "end of the cycle" just means a return to the past before a new cycle starts. I'm not too worried.

simian. Believing in god doesn't make someone a fundamentalist or irrational.
ps, this the fifth time someones disagreed with you. Isn't it time you defended yourself?

Dont worry too much, Brooks.
Judging by the promo pics for this one so far, I think its safe to say that Brian is the fat one now - or maybe he?s just big-boned

A magazine from Rio de Janeiro put the same picture friday for a short article. So, this means that not only S?o Paulo likes the picture. They also did an interview by telephone with Greg Graffin. He said the same things you can read in the article of the evolutionist punk, except that the band is going to play in Brazil the old and the new, not the in-between (like he says in the dvd). I will find out soon...

Is it me or Greg looks like Agent Smith from Matrix on this photo?
And YEAH, maybe they used this photo because it was taken in SP, and, because they are wearing tuxedos..
"Rock, science and religion" Greg Graffin and Bad Religion
Does anyone knows if Bad Religion will show up on MTVBR?

The conclusion is that I think belief in God is good.
It's not a statement. It's PART of a statement and cannot be taken alone.
I think what Greg is saying is that there may be one good ASPECT of such a belief. The good part about it, if you really needed to find one, is the tendency for god believers to have a keen ability to focus, in general.
Greg could potentially find simian's reasons for not liking the system of belief valid, and agree with simian (even though simian is just an ape).

@simian: Read the sub-text: "Once, a scientist said, if you can believe in God, you can believe in anything. It is also very dangerous. The conclusion is that I think belief in God is good, because it maintains the focus of people, in private life or in science." In the philosophy of Hume, Mill and others, including, to an extent I guess, Graffin and Preston's book, the notion of God can be assumed by a scientist, just as much and just as successfully as it can be assumed by a Christian or other religious person. Belief in God is a belief in something that can be aspired towards. Philo, in Hume's "Dialogues" believed that religion was dangerous and he was an atheist, but he also conceded that God exists - and belief can be positive.
"It is, somehow, the end of a cycle." -- Last BR album? Hmmmm.

I can't believe he said he thinks belief in god is good. Fuck that, Greg. Are you just pandering to a Catholic country? Belief in god is good because it maintains the focus of assholes who fly planes into buildings, or refuse medical treatment for their child with cancer because god will cure it. Oh, and it prevents stem-cell research. Yeah, belief in god is good. REALLY NICE FUCKING CONCLUSION.
