UPDATE - THIS WAS A BAD PLAN... SO PLEASE IGNORE WHAT'S BEEN SAID HERE.
The Answer, the Bad Religion Encyclopedia, is moving into the 21st century with a change to a wiki format. Eventually, The Answer will become an up to date database combining content from the old Answer section of this site as well as the Songs section and Defining Bad Religion.
But in order to do this, we need to export the content from the old site to the new wiki. This is a little less straight forward than you might think, since a lot of the text needs to proofread and updated in addition to being converted to wiki format.
For now we are trying to get all of the albums and songs formatted on the wiki. In case you've never edited a wiki before, it's pretty simple. Just hit edit on one of the existing pages like 1000 More Fools and copy that text. Then, go to the new page that you are creating for another song and paste that text, updating where appropriate.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here.

I'm surprised that didn't happen already...they definitely deserve their spot there with this Answer. I had things to add before, but just didn't know how really. I may try to add them if this is on wiki but my details would be pretty sketchy now :( It was basically though about how Jim Rome acclaimed sports show host loves Bad Religion and Greg Hetson used to call into his show to talk about the LA Kings back in the day when the show wasn't national.

I'm working on Shades of Truth. I hate how the line spacing is doubling up automatically. How can I stop that from happening? Also, are we "allowed" to punctuate the lyrics for grammar? Cold as the Clay has grammatically correct liner note lyrics, which is more BR than slashes and crap.

Wow, I was just going to read this and leave it but JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!!! D.Adrian, you need to get whatever the hell crawled up your ass and died this morning out and stop talking crap to the others contributing to this page. Sure there are some screw ups, but this is still one of the best sites out there and it's still getting improved. So the next time you want to complain about what's wrong about the site or about someones comment, get the sand out of your vagina and try to fix the problems yourself. I'd like to see what you have to contribute the the new WIKI page.

d. adrian, you really need to stop taking minor faults and turning them into a big deal. Right now we are in the process of just copying over the old info, when we are done with that basic step we will worry about adding new info and fixing whatever we find to be wrong. This thing literally just started this week and I think we've made more than exceptional progress on it. If you don't agree with it then try to help us fix it or if you don't want to then leave, not much else I can suggest.

like with website updates and stuff. the admin said to email him to let him know who can help with the site (don't remember the exact request) but i never got a reply. and it's not like its happened only once. anyway, this is definitely different since its a wiki and already up and running. (anyone can participate) i may help out when i find some time next week after exams.

I honestly don't know what you want us to do. "Don't copy them from the album booklet/this site!" "Don't copy what you are hearing!" If we go with your logic, what can we do?
The wrong lyrics on the lyrics sheet do not amount to a big percentile, and here most of the lyrics are right. And even if it's wrong, y'know, this is a wiki, meaning you can always correct them later. It's not like they're set in stone once you entered them. |

copying from where? if you're copying lyrics from this site, good luck, because a lot of these lyrics are very, very incorrect. a lot of the people who wrote them obviously don't have the albums. and yes, i'm aware that in some booklets, the lyrics are wrong. hell, in stranger than fiction a lot of the lyrics are just plain missing if not wrong, but it's still not hard to make it out, unless you're taking stupid wild stabs at it like people were doing with Honest Goodbye until Brett came along and settled the score.

the Bad Religion EP, Back To The Known EP and Tested shouldn't be listed under albums. They are not full studio album releases, but rather EPs or live albums. Tested is even listed twice, once under Album, then under Live Albums and Compilations... makes no senses.
Also, The Riot and Big Bang are Videos, not albums. The complete name of Punk Rock Songs is Punk Rock Songs - The Epic Years, and there's just so much more incomplete, incorrect or dumb information, i don't know where to begin. when you do a wiki, it should be correct down the last detail. Lucky Lehrer was also never a member of the band. that is just listing people who played a few shows to help them out. some spanish dude once came on stage and got jay's bass to play on the outro of generator, but that doesn't make him a "former member". |
