By Holy Smoke show do you mean the '94 boston Avalon show, or the undated part? Both are kind of average sound quality but the ambiguous half runs a little fast.

I never used VLC for saving streams (didn't even know it could do that :D) I have WM Recorder and it does the job too.

Oh, and I used VideoLan Client (VLC) which has a couple of options for saving/transcoding streams to local files :) (On a mac, although i don't think it makes a difference)

What did you use to record the stream? Just out of curiosity.

OK, I think I am shit out of luck. I am goign to upload the complete .asf file (this is the raw stream source). It is 300MB and includes most of the previous set and a little of the following (I don't care about the bands, but I didn't want to miss anything). All in all, it is about 1hr long, where BR's set is about half an hour.
If someone running windows would be willing to download the whole thing, use an asf trimmer/splitter to trim the excess (preferably without reencoding/compressing the file again) and then reupload just the relevant stuff it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

1) That mp3 is definitely recording slow, and sound slower as a result. DEFINITELY.
2) Sorry this is taking so long...I am on a Mac, so dealing with a windows media stream is proving troublesome. sorry...

Heroes & Martyrs live at Weenie Roast:

It definetly sounds slower and lower than the other versions to me, but I'm not sure if that was how it was played live.
If it is a problem with the files, I can fix it when I have something to compare it against, but if anyone is wanting to hear what these Weenie Roast songs right now, then here they are. :)

I recorded it all, but when I went to save it said "Audacity has encountered an error and needs to close".
However, when I reoppened the program it said that there are temporary files which it found which it can't recover automatically, but I can manually. Then it asked if I wanted to delete them, and said "no". How will I go about recovering these files?

This seems awfully convenient for Sony. A new BR album is just a few months away and the hype is palpable, and what do they do? Re-release a 11-year-old album without any change in tracklist, only a different cover. Methinks they're not even trying.
And I third PRS (German) ruining the end of TGR.

I agree with "Some Guy"! Stranger than Fiction has actually sold more than any of their other albums so that one should be re-released. I think that would be a great idea since it has 2 of their most mainstream songs, digital boy and infected, more people would want that album and I've noticed that it's actually one of the hardest to find, other than The New America.

I wonder why they're re-release this and not Stranger Than Fiction? It's sold more copies than The Gray Race.

I have the European version of The Gray Race, with Punk Rock Song German version as a bonus track, and it pretty much ruins the ending of the album with Cease.

I don't see the point in this rather than Sony making a few extra bucks. It makes sense to be a German only release though just because it looks like it has the German version of Punk Rock Song at the end. But then again it might end up being a US release as well with the German Punk Rock Song at the end, which would be alright I guess, not really worth paying for again though.

Re Jau:
Sony only owns the masters that were released, so I don't think they'd be able to release any new tracks even if they had recordings of them.

Yey for being active again. I honestly don't see a reason why they would re-release the grey race without any additional bonus tracks though. Alas, those other numerous lost gray race tracks will probably never surface.
To their credit though, my original cd is pretty busted by now, and the cover is interesting.
