its easy to satisfy the paranoid users: dont show the whole ip, just the first part, leave the last numbers or part away. problem solved. and if you dont want your ip showed public at all, register a nickname with a legit email adress. this way stupid spammers and impersonators would be exposed without having to force everybody to register. just a thought...

personally, i think IP addy's should only be visible to the admins and collected as so, but not to other members, so the pros of anony posting are kept, while a record is kept to help keep those users who represent the cons of anony posting in check.
I also still hope the new site doesn't look web 2.0'ish (read: lame). I've grown up with the site's design as it is now, who's gonna throw ball with it when we gotta tell it to move out and find another job ? :\

Surprisingly, 'Scott' and 'Merril' both seem to have the same IP address. I'm sorry about there being no way to find out who's trolling, but hopefully, this will change with the re-design of the page, facetoface.

question to the admins: can we get somekind of additional ip info to the postings, so we can see when someone is just bashing with different nicks? it would take away the impression you could get, that there are too many idiots around.

Goddamn negative Nancy's.
Who cares if BR wants to do a little marketing. Besides, Blue Steels are, in my experience some excellent strings, and the prospect of a signed album is worth a moment to sign up. I'll admit, I'll have to trade my Warped tour tickets for a full length concert. Forty five minutes is not enough time to enjoy BR thoroughly!

How many Warped Tours are Bad Religion going to play?
98,02,04,07,???????????
Could this mean that the band isn't as popular as they used to be?
Are they too old and past their prime for the mainstream?
Is punk on the decline?

whoa, easy there big guy. don't get your panties in a twist. the guys at dean markley are actually really cool and are always there to help us when we need stuff.
we don't endorse too many products, so when they ask if we want to do something like this, it's cool.
you might not like it, but who the hell are you?

Well it would be too expensive for non-US citizens to fly to America for the Warped Tour.
