I'm not really sure what the hell you are talking about. If you are talking about the pretentiousness of the label "indie" then I agree. But do you really disagree that it's better to support small music businesses (producers and stores) than for us to funnel money into the big corporations like Virgin, Sam Goody, HMV, Record Town, etc?

im not sure if im going to warped tour this year but i already sent in my money for the preorder to interpunk... i dont care... just securing my copy of the album is awesome. i hope they ship it out the day it is 'released'...

this is the same pre-order deal that's coming with the new unseen album. damnit.

He was I believe talking about independent record stores that aren't part of larger stores like Virgin of HMV or what ever there called in your part of the world

I suggest pre-ordering by going into your local independent record store and asking them to order it for you, if they hadn't already planned to stock it on opening day. No offense to anyone who shops at interpunk, but it's a lot better for the whole independent music industry if you buy from independent record stores or local/regional record chains instead of the megastores. Make sure "Midtown Hipster Records" will be stocking New Maps of Hell on release day. Suggest that they carry the vinyl too!

the accomplishment of getting the cd alone dwarfs such feeble freebies which can be attainted through other means. No no, I will take an awesome poster folded up inside the album, the 2 bonus tracks, or booklet of extra notes and or behind the scenes pics or all of them.
although honestly it could be worse, the freebie could be nekromantix related lulz.

Torbar, I think it would apply to both as you can order both the CD and LP from the same page. Also, the deal states "Pre-order of NMoH", so I would think that that means any pre-order, not just cd.

Anybody know if this only applies to the CD or if it is also for the LP?
