yes, the phrase "there is an abundance of interviews with brett lately" is much more appropriate.

Aniero is right, jay and the docs interviews r always light hearted and they sound like a chat between friends rather than your regular everyday interview. Thats y i enjoy the interviews, even when i dont like the artists that much.

I'm inclined to defend Jay and Lindsay, Frenzal are my favourite band, but anyone considering that Brett was enjoying them taking the piss? He was kinda doing it as well. Albums sounding the same, No Substance, etc. I don't think it's worth getting worked up about, it was a light-hearted interview, Jay and the Doctor always interview bands like that. If they had John Lennon on there it would be the same thing as if they had their own drummer.
Bad Religion aren't a huge band down here, loads of people love them and I'm sure they'll draw massive crowds when they come, but for a lot of people they're just another punk band from the states (not that that's a bad thing). That and Triple J being the main alternative station in Australia means there was a lot of people listening to that interview that weren't fans. I would say thats another reason for it not being as serious as we're used to.
More importantly, they're coming out! This year!

End of the day, I guess it doesn't matter too much about the hosts, the questions and the interview.....

if those hosts are any indication of how people act in australia i can't blame br for not going. they were being dicks. i felt like i was listening to a high school radio interview.

I think everyones being a bit harsh I thought lindsay and jay did ok. I also might be a bit bias because i like frenzal and i enjoy listening to triple j breakfast show

The part about Bush's administration and Brett's view on the current events and the world in general was really strange... Lindsay was like "hu-huh, yeah yeah, whatever...", just trying to make him say something contradictory or stupid (and Brett didn't). The most amazing line was (about cleaning up Bush's mess) : "and did you think that Bad Religion was gonna be able to do it ?" - Quite an odd approach indeed...
Well, at least, the No Substance, 3-Guitarists and Songwriting parts were really funny, hehe.

I got the impression that he was almost trying to take the piss out of Brett. Don't get me wrong, I like Frenzal....but at the end of the day, either put up or shut-up.
Or perhaps we're all a little protective of our Bad Religion. :P

On an objective note though, I think the hosts of the show did a terrible job. Perhaps I'm a perfectionist or something but I'm sure they could've came up with some better questions/topics.
