No, I wasn't sarchastic. Appetite doesn't have a single bad or slightly not-as-good song on the album. they are all five-star songs and that's damn amazing.
In the meantime, i wanna know why my shops don't have NMoH yet!!! Damnit!

@ ikillkenny: I love it so much because it completely encompasses everything The Beatles had to offer, stylistically. Yeah there are some weird tracks on it, but that's ok. There are enough jaw-droppers on there like While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Mother Nature's Son, Cry Baby Cry, Helter Skelter (heavy metal song?!). Even their worst songs would've been hits for other bands at the time (for the most part, at least). But like you said, to each his own :-)
@ Ratguy: Thanks!
Anyways, back to BR...definitely feeling NMOH more than when I first got it. I guess the album and I just needed to some substantial alone time, ha.

sarcastic or not, appetite kicks serious ass.
my top tracks on the new one...
1. Before you die
2. new dark ages
3. heroes and martyrs
4. honest goodbye
5. germs of perfection.
6-16...the rest in VERY close order.
I work for around 9 hours at a computer at my job, and play this CD on repeat all day. It kicks so much ass. The last 2 have been the strongest 1, 2 punch in CD releases in ages.

The whole reason I got into Bad Religion was because I was trying to convince a friend that some punk band could never be good enough to compare to the Beatles. I came off kind of lame. Can this band harmonize like the Beatles? Yes. Does this band have poignant, poetic, and/or at times non-sensical lyrics? Yes. Damn. I heard the bonus track Mediocrity and I liked what I heard. But once I heard TPoB I was forever hooked.
ikillkenny: I've actually thought that several times before.

Oh hey if they ever do a White Album, they should stick Follow the Leader on there as thier "Revolution Number 9" track.

The White Album the greatest album ever? Really? It's not even the best Beatles' album ever. I mean it was a cool idea and some of the songs are very good, but there's too much filler and just plain bad songs on that album.
But to each his own.

Being that The White Album is (in my humble opinion) the greatest album in ever, hearing the words "White Album" and "Bad Religion" related to one another in the same sentence almost made me drool. I hope a project like that is still on the table for them...

I think once I finally listen to NMOH, I will make up for the lack of a double album, and compile a double or triple album consisting ofthe last 3 albums (most likley double to make the listening more interesting and selective).
