When Graffin talked about playing the next night in Milwaukee, it was met with boos, which surprised Greg. Then he bragged about the Packers beating the Vikes this year. Also, then Greg said he liked Fran Tarkington, a good, old Vikes QB.
Remember BR on Conan, when Jay blew his head off at the end? Jay did that same thing about 4 times during the Minneapolis show. Greg also referenced "Trixie", if you recall on that YouTube clip where Greg serves drinks? Remember that? In any case, there is some YouTube clip where Trixie is referenced, I do recall that.
Also, they're going to NZ in a month or two. They tried to recall the word Kiwi, as a NZ description, and Greg G thought that Kiwi was a derogatory term (even though it is not). Jay laughed.
Overall, Brian and Jay were laughing and smiling throughout the whole show, Greg was good, and Hetson was silent and rocking out. Damn Brooks is good.

Hey, I was at the Minneapolis show tonight. BR was awesome, and the guys played with tons of energy. Yes, they actually played Skyscraper, which was the highlight of the show. At the end Jay said something like, "we're not doing that one again."

It's great to see the results of the setlist discussion we had with Jay a couple of months ago on this board!
Dearly Beloved, God Song, Skyscraper (one of my favourites), Tomorrow, 52 Seconds, Sanity, The Defense, Lookin' In... As a BR fan in his 30ies I'm very pleased to see these resurrected older songs alongside some great additional new compositions. Thanks a lot Jay & Co.! |

And by the way the joke Greg G made about the bridge collapsing went along the lines of "you guys know that the bridge that collapsed in the summer only a day or two after the Warped Tour left Minneapolis and there is evidence that all the Warped Tour trucks drove that bridge outta town. We are currently lookin into whether or not the Warped Tour caused the collapse" It wasn't very funny to begin with and did not garner much audience response. Quite frankly I thought it came off as being in bad taste.

I went to the shows in Toronto and Winnipeg last year and they played Skyscraper at both. When I heard it again in Minneapolis last week I just assumed they had added it as a regular to the setlist.

it's also amazing when they play random old songs...not just more well known old songs. has "billy" been played in many years? "hippy killers"? why not have "random night"? that would be fun. songs by lottery.

To anyone who went to the Milwaukee show: Was the stage moved forward at the Rave recently? Seemed smaller than I remember. Second...was it just my opinion, or was the crowd SMALL?? About two-thirds the normal BR crowd for a Rave show, I thought. Anyhow, the concert was great. That might be the longest set I've ever seen them play.

Just saw them in Milwaukee, it was one of the best BR shows I have ever seen (and it was number 9 for me). They did play Skyscraper tonight, and Lookin In, and God Song, and Tomorrow. Pretty much all of the songs above, plus "Were Only Gonna Die" and Im pretty sure I heard "Gray Race" too.. "dearly belvoved", I'm not sure.. they did open with "Fuck Armageddon" again, and it was just as I was walking in.... SWEET!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in the Canadian 2006 tour they also played Skyscraper one of the shows(I think the bootleg was called like "Patching All The Cracks On The Stage")

Well, it seems like they're really "letting their hair down" and playing some oldies on this tour, which is awesome. I would soil my pants if I heard Skyscraper, God Song, Lookin' In, and Only Gonna Die at the DC show!!! I can't fucking wait for next Sunday. Anyone going to DC, please e-mail me so we can meet up before or after the show or something!
