This was about my 10th BR show and it wasn't the best. I miss the Avalon!! Setlist was average. Love the new album and wanted to hear more of it. Also play more from No Substance, Generator, and Gray Race (highly underrated). Thought Greg taking a piss sucked b/c it was during Recipe, a sig. song. Obviously always worth the $, but maybe I'm getting old.

![]() So, a you're drummer for three years; can you nail the Brooks stuff too, including the doublekicks on certain songs, and the intro to "Sorrow"? If yes, not bad. |

"i asked them at the nj show how much or what it would take for the biggest br fan for the past 15 years to make a 100 song setlist and have them play it"
And who would that mysterious biggest br fan for the past 15 years be?
Obviously you're a latecomer on thebrpage; we already had an extensive setlist discussion a couple months ago, with Jay to boot. Please do some research in the archive (I think it was around april) and then come back bitching about the setlist.
And for the record, I wasn't too thrilled with the BR song selections of the last couple of years either, but Jay explained their choices during the discussion and kept his word to mix it up a bit. I'd really like to see one or two Brettless-era songs (Hear It, Don't Sell Me Short) or some rare older gems (Land Of Competition, Billy, Heaven Is Falling) to resurface. But the resurrected Lookin In, Skyscraper, God Song, Come Join Us don't look too bad, me thinks.

good response there jay. winging? saggy balls? you can't be serious listening to bad religion with that vocabulary. we pay to see the band remember, maybe they shouldn't be so selfish then...i asked them at the nj show how much or what it would take for the biggest br fan for the past 15 years to make a 100 song setlist and have them play it, (15k, 50k) and graffin said to talk to jay, that he makes the setlists. i did, and he said it's not about money but the time it would take to teach brooks those songs (no substance, new america and every other song from every other album that they don't play). play don't pray on me, empty causes, better off dead, there will be a way and chimera already. BORING.

Yeah, I doubt it too. They often have a weird sense of humor onstage-especially jay ;)
But what else could he have done? Just dissapeared to annoy people? Haha...love those guys they`re so weird!

I think that's still pretty polite. I remember a BR show (Stuttgart 2000 I think), when Bobby stood up from his chair between songs, turned his back to the audience, faced the backdrop - and peed down the stage nonchalantly, while the rest of the band laughed their asses off...

Warped: basically, Greg disappeared from the stage (I didn't see initially where he had gone too, but everyone could still hear him singing), was gone for about a minute, then came back from the backstage area as if nothing had happened...Jay said something like, "Just to let you know, he was back there peeing into a trashcan," but I couldn't tell if he was just joking around or not. Greg didn't say anything to the contrary (at least that I can remember), so I'm guessing it was the truth. Haha...kinda gross if it's true, but hey, when you gotta go, you gotta go.

"During Recipe For Hate, Greg sang the entire song while backstage peeing in a trash can."
"Haha, the part with Greg going in the back was hilarious...no one seemed to know where he had gone, but we could still hear him. Awesome show!!"
If you didn`t see it how do you know that he pissed in a trashcan?
Did he came back and said "I just peed in a trashcan"?
Haha..weird...
Great to see scyscraper back on the setlist!

Alright, this was an awesome set list (Lookin' In, God Song, Anesthesia, Dearly Beloved, SKYSCRAPER), although I DO wish they had played songs like In So Many Ways, Man With a Mission (although I've seen them play that live before), You've Got a Chance, Beyond Electric Dreams (I know, I know; dream on). They may not have mixed it up from the previous 3 or 4 set lists, but I was happy they didn't play all of NMOH and little of nothing else. BR has so much material and such a different sound spanning from so many albums that everyone's "perfect set list" is different. The energy at that show alone was worth the 23 bucks.

"Perfect Setlist"?. Im sure it was a fun show but Im sorry. The fact that this band shuns songs from 2 of their albums that were released in the past 10 years is a tragedy. Why cant they play awesome songs like Strange Denial or Dont Sell me Short?

AWESOME show! I was up front and the energy was incredible. I can't believe they played 26 songs in what, an hour and twenty minutes or so? It was crazy. Not as many crowd surfers as I remember at other shows, but it might have been because (for once) they weren't all going directly over my head. Haha, the part with Greg going in the back was hilarious...no one seemed to know where he had gone, but we could still hear him. Awesome show!!
